摘要: The present technology relates to a permanent magnet insertion device that includes a frame and a plurality of single pole assemblies adjacently disposed within the frame. Each of the single pole assemblies includes a first member bearing a first permanent-magnet and a second member bearing a second permanent-magnet. The first permanent-magnet and the second permanent-magnet are spaced apart by a gap. At least one of the first member or the second member is movable relative to the other of the first member or the second member to increase or to decrease a dimensional value of the gap. A hydraulic driver is configured to move the first member relative to the second member to increase or to decrease the dimensional value of the gap. A mechanical driver is configured to move the first member relative to the second member to increase or to decrease the dimensional value of the gap.

The polyurethane composition comprises a network polymer and a polyurethane exchange catalyst permeated within the network polymer. The network polymer comprises a dynamic network formed from an isocyanate constitutional unit and a second constitution unit having a hydroxyl group capable of reacting with an isocyanate group of the isocyanate constitutional unit to form a urethane bond. The catalyst comprises a metal atom and a ligand coordinated to the metal atom.

摘要: A hierarchical catalyst composition comprising a continuous or particulate macroporous scaffold in which is incorporated mesoporous aggregates of magnetic nanoparticles, wherein an enzyme is embedded in mesopores of the mesoporous aggregates of magnetic nanoparticles. Methods for synthesizing the hierarchical catalyst composition are also described. Also described are processes that use the recoverable hierarchical catalyst composition for depolymerizing lignin, remediation of water contaminated with aromatic substances, polymerizing monomers by a free-radical mechanism, epoxidation of alkenes, halogenation of phenols, inhibiting growth and function of microorganisms in a solution, and carbon dioxide conversion to methanol. Further described are methods for increasing the space time yield and/or total turnover number of a liquid-phase chemical reaction that includes magnetic particles to facilitate the chemical reaction, the method comprising subjecting the chemical reaction to a plurality of magnetic fields of selected magnetic strength, relative position in the chemical reaction, and relative motion.
