摘要: In a holographic digital data storage system, holographic page data has at least two concentric patterns with the optical information arranged within an outermost pattern of at least two concentric patterns. Since at least two concentric patterns in the holographic page data are deformed into at least two elliptic patterns in the diffracted beam caused by irradiation of the reference beam, at least two elliptic patterns are extracted from the diffracted beam and then at least two elliptic patterns are estimated to generate at least two estimated concentric patterns. A compensated vector between said at least two elliptic patterns and said at least two estimated concentric patterns is used to reconstruct the optical information from the diffracted beam.

摘要: An inventive method for manufacturing an array of M.times.N thin film actuatable mirrors, the method being capable of preserving the structural integrity thereof, comprises the steps of: preparing an active matrix; depositing a passivation layer and an etchant stopping layer, successively, on top of the active matrix; forming a thin film sacrificial layer; depositing a first mask layer made of a silicon oxide; forming a second mask layer; forming an array of M.times.N pair of cavities, one of the cavities in each pair exposing a portion of one of the connecting terminals; removing the first and the second mask layer; forming an array of M.times.N actuating structures; removing the thin film sacrificial layer to thereby form the array of M.times.N thin film actuatable mirrors. During the formation of the cavities, the cavities is formed into a trapezoidal shape as a result of the difference in the etching rate between the first mask layer and the thin film sacrificial layer.

摘要: A method for encoding a video signal including a video object plane(VOP) and object information thereof, the VOP having an object therein, divides the VOP into a plurality of blocks and detecting boundary blocks and object blocks, wherein each boundary block includes therein background pixels and object pixels and each object block includes therein object pixels only, the background and the object pixels representing pixels residing outside and inside the object, respectively. Then the object information is converted into a set of object symbols and each object symbol is added to a background pixel included in a boundary block to thereby produce processing blocks, the processing blocks including the object blocks and one or more processed boundary blocks having therein the object symbols and the remaining unprocessed boundary blocks. The processing blocks are encoded to thereby generate an encoded video signal.

摘要: A method for scalably inter-contour coding a video signal including a previous and a current frames, wherein each of the previous and the current frames contains a contor, first generates a predicted contour by motion estimating and compensating a previous base layer, widens the predicted contour by a predetermined threshold D.sub.max (j), generates (j)th primary and secondary vertices, and reconstructs a current base layer, j being 0. Thereafter, the method widens the predicted contour by the predetermined threshold D.sub.max (j+1), generates (j+1)st primary and secondary vertices, and updates the (j)th primary and secondary vertices. Then, the (j)th primary and secondary vertices are encoded, and encoded primary and secondary vertex information is formatted in a predetermined way. Finally, the value of j is increased by 1, and the process from widening the predicted contour by D.sub.max (j+1) to formatting the encoded primary and secondary vertex infromation are repeated until j becomes N, N being a positive integer.

摘要: An air bubble generator for a washing machine has an open box-type case, a porous member, and a plate. The open box-type case has an inlet in the bottom thereof for a passageway of compressed air and space therein for accommodating the compressed air. The porous member provides the accommodated compressed air with passageways. The plate fixedly covers the open box-type case and has through-holes therein. The plate provides air bubbles in the washing water. The porous member has a plurality of compartments symmetrically arranged with respect to each other. The plurality of compartments are arranged along the upper surface of the porous member. Each of the plurality of compartments is spaced apart from the bottom of the case.

摘要: Disclosed is a circuit for adjusting a horizontal center of a raster displayed on a monitor CRT, which includes a current generating circuit which can control an amount of a direct current flowing through a horizontal deflection yoke of the monitor based on a control voltage, a first voltage, and a second voltage. A control part generates the control voltage in response to a center adjustment signal. A voltage generating circuit generates the first and second voltages, respectively. The first voltage has a higher potential than that of a B.sup.+ voltage which is applied to the horizontal deflection yoke, and the second voltage has a lower potential than that of the B.sup.+ voltage. The current generating circuit either generates a first current flowing into the horizontal deflection yoke to increase the direct current or a second current flowing out therefrom to decrease the direct current, such that the horizontal center of the raster is controlled.

摘要: A mounting coordinate input method and apparatus images a printed circuit board on which a surface mount device is mounted and edits a coordinate and component information necessary to mount the surface mount device on the PCB to produce a mounting information to be inputted to surface mount device equipment. In the method, an image of a printed circuit board is taken. Component information of the surface mount device to be mounted on the printed circuit board at an arbitrary angle is inputted to display a surface mount device mark printed on the printed circuit board corresponding to the component information. Coordinates of first and second reference corners of the surface mount device mark is set and center coordinates of the surface mount device mark is calculated. A reference rectangle of the surface mount device mark is displayed. An arbitrary angle set mode with the surface mount device is selected to display a fan including a predetermined angle formed by a first side defining a straight line between the first reference corner of the surface mount device mark and a cursor on a screen and a second side defining a straight line between the first reference corner and an X-axis on the screen. The predetermined angle of the fan which allows the first side of the fan to coincide with a side of the surface mount device mark is control to set the controlled angle of the fan as the arbitrary angle of the surface mount device.

摘要: A method and an apparatus in which a bias of a focus servo circuit is adjusted so that a signal surface of an optical disc may be placed within a focus depth of a laser beam. In the apparatus for adjusting a focus bias, a characteristic variation of a focus bias is checked on the basis of a level of a reproduction signal, i.e., an RF signal, supplied from the optical pickup, and a focus bias is adjusted in response to a checked characteristic variation. Therefore, although the characteristics of the focus servo section is varied, the focus bias is optimally adjusted in response to the characteristic variation, so that an accurate focusing operation is performed.
