    摘要: A curable organopolysiloxane composition capable of forming cured products of superior optical transmittance exhibiting little heat-induced yellowing over time. A semiconductor device having semiconductor elements encapsulated in a cured product of the composition. The composition includes (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded alkenyl groups per molecule and bearing silicon-bonded aryl groups, whose content relative to all silicon-bonded organic groups is not less than 40 mol %, (B) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule, and (C) an organosiloxane oligomer complex of platinum, where the oligomer has not more than eight silicon atoms per molecule and bears silicon-bonded alkenyl groups and silicon-bonded aryl groups.

    摘要: This invention provides method for the preparation of carbinol-modified organopolysiloxane which does not suffer from the secondary reaction problems of the art and which thereby makes possible the production of high-purity carbinol-containing organopolysiloxane.The method involves a platinum-catalyzed addition reaction of an organopolysiloxane having at least 1 silicon-bonded hydrogen atom in each molecule and an organic compound whose molecule contains at least 1 aliphatically unsaturated hydrocarbon group and at least 1 triorganosilyl-blocked carbinol group. Thereafter a desilylation reaction on the organopolysiloxane product is accomplished in an essentially water-free mixture of organic carboxylic acid and alcohol to provide carbinol-modified organopolysiloxane.

    摘要: An organocyclosiloxane is disclosed which has both silicon-bonded alkoxy groups and organofunctional groups within each molecule. This cyclic siloxane finds utility as a coupling agent and has the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is independently selected from the group consisting of a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms and a monovalent halogen-substituted hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of an alkoxy group and an alkoxysilylalkyl group, R.sup.3 is an organofunctional group selected from the group consisting of glycidoxyalkyl groups, methacryloxyalkyl groups, N-(trialkylsilyl)aminoalkyl groups, (hydroxyphenyl)alkyl groups, and haloalkyl groups and n and m each represent an integer having a value of 1 to 6 with the proviso that n+m is an integer with a value of 3 to 8.

    摘要: An improved bladder lubricant composition is disclosed which provides durable release of bladders from cured rubber tires in the manufacture of the latter. The composition comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane resin consisting essentially of phenylsilsesquioxane units and dimethylsiloxane units; (B) an organosilane having trioxime or trialkoxy functionality; (C) a condensation catalyst; and, optionally, (D) at least one diorganopolysiloxane having hydroxyl or alkoxy terminal groups.
