摘要: An apparatus and method for cleaning guide rollers of a printing unit, particularly a 9-cylinder satellite printing unit, of a web-fed printing press, is disclosed. A cleaning device having a cleaning body fastened to an actuating grip is insertable between the guide rollers of the printing unit. A cleaning cloth that can be wetted with cleaning fluid can be fastened to the cleaning body, and the cleaning body features cleaning surfaces on opposing sides that are adapted to the contour of the guide rollers.

摘要: The present invention concerns measures for the space-optimized determination of printing-related measured values. With the aid of a tone value and/or color gradient in a control patch and a suitable measuring device, it is possible to obtain, in a smaller amount of space, adequate or even detailed information about the printing process. Correcting values necessary for the automatic control of the printing operation can be determined on the basis of the information thus obtained, which can be also be continuously acquired due to the space-optimized tone value and/or color gradients.

摘要: A folding drum and method of operation is disclosed. The folding drum is used for folding material, in particular for a printing press. The folding drum is mounted rotatably on its longitudinal axle. The folding drum has a folding-blade spindle, the longitudinal axle of which is coupled to the longitudinal axle of the folding drum and is spaced apart from the longitudinal axle of the folding drum. Furthermore, the folding drum comprises a force generation means for generating a relief force which is opposed to a centrifugal force which is generated in the case of a rotating folding drum by the co-rotating folding-blade spindle. Thus, the disadvantageous influence of the centrifugal force can be reduced. As a result, in particular, a mounting of the folding-blade spindle can be relieved. The wear of the mounting can be reduced and its service life can be increased.

摘要: A system and method records and identifies certain attributes of printed products for verifying their authentication and for tracking individual printed products or copies of printed products. In embodiment of the invention, a static code with redundant information and with high spatial resolution is applied on the printed product and the optoelectronic detection of the printed image on the printed product is carried out by means of a line-scan or area-scan camera or a laser scanner within a printing machine or an additional processing machine. The data are decoded after their acquisition by means of the optoelectronic detection device and the decoded data are used for characterizing an individual printed image and/or the printing process.

摘要: The aim of the invention is to simplify the attachment of RFID chips or RFID transponders to packagings. For this purpose, the RFID chips are produced as a single RFID label together with antenna elements that are functionally associated therewith. The chips or transponders can be attached to a packaging by means of corresponding devices during production of the printed material, during a subsequent treatment or finishing process of the printed material, during the preparation of the packaging, during production of the packaging or during filling of the packaging. At the time of attachment, the RFID chips can be tested and initialized. The invention allows to considerably simplify the so far complex processes required to integrate the RFID chips into different types of packaging.

摘要: A printing unit having a press unit is disclosed. Damping solution is applied to a form cylinder by way of direct damping-solution supply via a damping unit in such a way that a damping-solution applicator roll which is set away from an ink distributor roll and is driven by way of friction by the form cylinder rolls only on the form cylinder and thus applies the damping solution to the form cylinder only directly via the damping-solution applicator roll. In the event of indirect damping-solution supply in which the damping-solution applicator roll rolls exclusively on the ink distributor roll and is driven by way of friction by the ink distributor roll, in order to switch over to direct damping-solution supply, the damping-solution applicator roll is set away from the ink distributor roll more quickly than the damping unit, and thus the damping-solution applicator roll, is set against the form cylinder.

摘要: An ink transfer device which can be clamped on a rubber covered cylinder in a printing press includes a rubber blanket for transferring ink from a printing forme to a printing material, the blanket having a leading end and a trailing end which are separated by a non-ink transferring gap when the device is clamped on the cylinder; a carrier element fixed to the rubber blanket; and a pair of fixing elements for clamping the blanket on the cylinder, the fixing elements being positioned on the carrier adjacent to respective ends of the blanket. In order to minimize the non-ink transferring gap, the fixing elements and the carrier element are formed as separate subassemblies which are joined together.
