    摘要： A ceiling vent assembly has a frame and a pair of louvers pivotably mounted in the frame such that each of the louvers pivots between an open position and a closed position. Each of the louvers has a pivot end, wherein the pivot end of a first louver of the pair of louvers is located adjacent to but spaced apart from the pivot end of a second louver of the pair of louvers. The ceiling vent has a sealing mechanism positioned in the space between the first and second louvers so as to press on the pivot ends of the first and second louvers such that the sealing mechanism reduces the flow of air through the space. When the first and second louvers pivot between the open and closed positions, the pivot end of the first and second louvers slide relative the sealing mechanism.

    摘要： A natural convection roof device includes a first roof drainage panel, a first extended roof drainage panel, a second roof drainage panel, an inner barrier and an inner roof containing an inner ventilation opening disposed obliquely to the first roof drainage panel. The top end of the first roof drainage panel includes the first extended roof drainage panel, and the top end of the first extended roof drainage panel is assembled with the second roof drainage panel and the inner barrier. The bottom ends of the second roof drainage panel and the inner barrier are installed on the inner roof. The lower side of the inner barrier is center ventilation openings. Above the second roof drainage panel is ventilation holes, and below the second roof drainage panel is drain holes. The level of the ventilation holes is higher than that of the inner ventilation opening.

    摘要： A rack system having shelves configured to support a plurality of disposable animal cages may include a modular configuration that is adapted to easily provide a desired rack size during manufacturing. A rack system may also include shelves which are configured to receive disposable cages and which have spring biased rails configured to receive edges of the disposable cages and provide a spring bias pushing apertures of a cage against nozzles of the shelf to provide a seal therebetween. A rack system may also include shelves which are configured to receive disposable cages and which have resilient flexible lids configured to deflect for releasable engagement into the rack assembly and establish a seal between the nozzle and receptacle for a controllable flow of air therethrough. A rack system may also include a monitoring system that includes at least one sensor in communication with a exhaust manifold of a cage that provides information to a controller that communicates cage conditions to a user via a graphic user interface. The controller may also provide information to a user independent of sensor data.

    摘要： An attic inlet has a square tube to communicate between an attic and a room through a substrate, and a lid to permit airflow through the inlet when open, and prevent it when closed. The lid is moved by an upper pull bar and lower connecting bars attached to the lid. Upper pull bar and lower connecting bars are attached by clevis pins to yoke arms pivoting about parallel axles. Movement of the upper pull bar rotates the yoke arms, and so lowers the connecting bars and the attached lid. Springs urge pull bar and lid into closed default position, while a cord is used to displace pull bar and lid into open position. The lid is attached by tabs on the connecting bars passing through the lid, and lid locking bars engaging apertures in the tabs.

The air intake apparatus includes an elongate convex valve seat to minimize contact between the valve seat and its valve and to permit smooth air flow over the rounded valve seat. The apparatus further includes a duct-receiving groove for easily mounting a duct which directs outside air into the valve and a shoulder extending about the duct-receiving groove for bearing against an inner portion of the structure. The housing is molded from one-piece such that the valve seat, duct-receiving groove, and shoulder are integrally formed.
