摘要: A bone fixation assembly may include a male member removably couplable with a female member. The male member may include a male load-sharing feature having at least one male load-sharing surface. The female member may include a female load-sharing feature having at least one female load-sharing surface. The female load-sharing feature may be positioned and shaped to receive the male load-sharing feature therein. In response to a bending load acting on the bone fixation assembly, at least one of the male member and the female member may bend such that, at least a portion of the at least one male load-sharing surface engages with at least a portion of the at least one female load-sharing surface to distribute the bending load between the male member and the female member.

摘要: An acetabular reconstruction prosthesis with a piling-cup system is provided, which includes an iliac posterior pile screw, an iliac anterior pile screw, a pubic pile screw, an ischial pile screw, abutments, a 3D (three-dimensional) printed porous titanium mesh cup, locking screws, nuts, and tail cap screws. Four pile screws are the iliac posterior pile screw facing posterior of the ilium, the iliac anterior pile screw facing iliac tubercle, the ischial pile screw running along ischium ramus, and the pubic pile screw running along pubic ramus. A stable prothesis support system is formed in the acetabular reconstruction prosthesis with a piling-cup system, which conforms to the biomechanical characteristics of physiological pelvis, reduces the risk of prosthesis loosening and dislocation, and improves long-term stability of the prosthesis through biological fixation.

The aiming arm has a rigid body extending from a proximal end to a distal end with a plurality of aiming holes defined through the rigid body between the proximal end and the distal end thereof. The connection assembly is configured to engage an attachment screw hole of the bone plate and the attachment slot such that the aiming arm is fixed in position relative to the bone plate with each of the aiming holes aligned with a respective hole along the bone plate.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to bone plates that are configured for use with bones having periprosthetic fractures. For example, in the event that a proximal femur is fractured in an area that is adjacent to a prosthetic component, such as a femoral stem used in a hip replacement, the periprosthetic bone plates of the present invention may be used. In one exemplary embodiment, the periprosthetic bone plates include a periprosthetic zone having a plurality of central apertures and a plurality of outer apertures that are offset from the central apertures. The periprosthetic zone may further include a plurality of indentations, each indentation extending longitudinally between adjacent outer apertures to narrow a width of the bone plate.

摘要: A bone repair system and method for percutaneously fixing a first bone segment to a second bone segment, such as rib bone segments, in a body of a patient include drilling a first hole through the first bone segment and a second hole through the second bone segment, and feeding a first tether through the first hole and a second tether through the second hole, each tether having a proximal end and a distal end. The first and second tether distal ends are withdrawn from the body while the first and second tether proximal ends have not passed through the first and second bone segments, respectively. A reinforcing member, such as a bone plate, having first and second openings, is passed onto the first and second tether distal ends, and the reinforcing member is pulled into engagement with the first and second bone segments guided by the tethers. The reinforcing member is secured to the first bone segment with a first fastener assembly through the first hole and the first opening and to the second bone segment with a second fastener assembly through the second hole and the second opening to fix the first bone segment to the second bone segment.

摘要: A spinal fusion device for implantation between spinal vertebrae includes an implant member having an opposed upper and lower surface, an outer sidewall having an aperture having internal threads, and an inner sidewall defining a central opening. A plate member is attached to the implant member such that the plate member is perpendicular relative to the implant member and includes a plurality of angled apertures for receiving anchoring fasteners and a central aperture for receiving a locking fastener. A locking member is attached to the cage member. The locking member includes a tubular shaft having internal threads that is inserted through the aperture of the outer sidewall of the implant member. A locking fastener is inserted through the central aperture of the plate member and into the locking member to thereby lock the spinal fusion device in position.
