摘要： The improved glenoid fossa prosthesis for repair of a scapular deficient patient includes a base with a fixed flange, and a separable flange. A conical taper on the base and a complimentary locator edge positively orient the separable flange when joined with the base for affixation by screw. A plurality of flange fixation screws penetrates the scapular tissue between the flanges for affixation of the flanges thereto. The flange thickness is variable to approximate the topography of the scapular tissue in the affixation area to minimize tissue trimming during fitment. A cutting mask attaches to the deficient scapula in the glenoid fossa area to guide the physician in trimming scapular tissue for fitment. A cortical screw further fixates the base to the scapular tissue. A second conical taper on the base serves as a mount for a glenoid sphere (reverse shoulder) or socket (standard shoulder) repair configuration.

The first surface includes a first rim positioned radially outward from a second rim, a base surface portion, and a hood surface portion extending from the base surface portion and oriented at an obtuse angle relative to the base surface portion. The body defines a hood portion extending from the hood surface portion to a plane including the base surface portion. The cavity has a perimeter defined by the second rim, and includes a first cavity portion configured to receive an attachment structure attachable to a bone, and a second cavity portion configured to engage an engagement member of the attachment structure and oriented along the engagement axis.

摘要： This set comprising: an anatomic articulating member, having a concave articulating surface intended to articulate with a complementary humeral implant and having an anatomic coupling feature, a reversed articulating member, having a convex articulating surface intended to articulate with a complementary humeral implant and having a reversed coupling feature that is shaped differently from the anatomic coupling feature, and an anchorage member intended to be anchored in a human glenoid, the anchorage member including a body which defines a proximodistal axis and has inner bore extending along the proximodistal axis, the body being provided within the inner bore with both an inner first feature that is designed to cooperate with the anatomic coupling feature when the anatomic coupling feature is introduced within the inner bore, so as to fixedly couple the anchorage member with the anatomic articulating member, and an inner second feature that is designed to cooperate with the reversed coupling feature when the reversed coupling feature is introduced within the inner bore, so as to fixedly couple the anchorage member with the reversed articulating member, the first feature and the second feature being distinct from each other. The body is operable to be axially introduced into the glenoid before being coupled indifferently with one or the other of the anatomic and reversed articulating members.

摘要： A glenoid trial and implant assembly for use in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty is provided along with a method for using the same. The glenoid trial and implant assembly includes a baseplate assembly, an adapter assembly, a glenoid trial, a glenoid implant, a humeral cup, and a positioning guide. The glenoid trial is coupled to the adapter assembly when the glenoid trial and implant assembly is assembled in a trialing configuration. The glenoid implant is coupled to the adapter assembly when the glenoid trial and implant assembly is assembled in an installed configuration. A temporary connection, which may be magnetic, releasably couples the glenoid trial to the adapter assembly and provides separation of the glenoid trial and the adapter assembly without requiring disassembly of the adapter assembly. A permanent connection fixes the glenoid implant to the adapter assembly.

In another example, a glenosphere helper comprises a cup shaped body having an interior surface for engaging at least a portion of an outer surface of the glenosphere, and a flange extending from the cup to receive a guide pin at a point, the flange extending from the cup shaped body such that the point is positioned outside a periphery of the glenosphere.
