Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems are described for deploying a stent into a body lumen. A stent delivery system may include a sheath with a partially-tubular first portion made from a first material and a second portion made from a second material that is adhered to the first portion to form a tubular body. In some cases, the first material may be chemically incompatible with the second material such that the adhesion between the first portion and second portion is free from cross-linked bonds. The stent delivery system may further include a guidewire lumen with a distal tip that may be slidably disposed within the sheath and a tubular stent disposed between the guidewire lumen and an inside surface of the sheath. The sheath may be formed by coextruding the first material and the second material to form a striped tubular body of the sheath.

Abstract: A reinforced cardiovascular sheath and wire assembly includes an inner tube with an external surface extending between a proximal end and a distal end. A reinforcement braid is in contact with the external surface of the inner tube. A wire with a distal segment is interwoven into, and in contact with, the reinforcement braid. A proximal segment of the wire extends proximally from the proximal end of the inner tube out of contact with the reinforcement braid. An outer tube receives, and is in contact with, the reinforcement braid and the inner tube. A vascular intervention device delivery system utilizes the sheath/wire assembly as a retractable sheath and pull wire.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and devices for percutaneous retrieval of objects, such as endovascular devices, from an internal body space. The present inventions have vascular, non-vascular (gastrointestinal), and surgical (laproscopic) applications. The inventions include a retrieval end having one or more compressed states and an expanded state, the retrieval end adopting the expanded state when the retrieval end is deployed into a subject's internal body space, the retrieval end having a mouth through which an object can be passed into an interior space within the retrieval end when the retrieval end is in the expanded state, the mouth being adjustable between an opened state and a closed state; wherein when at least a portion of the retrieval end of the inner sheath is transitioned to a compressed state following capture of the object, the retrieval end exerts an inward force that at least partially collapses or compresses the object.

The present inventions have vascular, non-vascular (gastrointestinal), and surgical (laproscopic) applications. The inventions include a a wire woven distal end that is formed from wires and includes a substantially cylindrical main body section comprising a leading end, a trailing end, and a middle portion extending between the leading end and the trailing end and defining a longitudinal axis of the main body section, and a flare defining a mouth of the wire woven distal end that projects circumferentially from the leading end of the main body section, wherein when at least a portion of the retrieval end is transitioned to a compressed state following capture of an object, the retrieval end exerts an inward force that at least partially collapses or compresses the object.

Abstract: A percutaneous bypass method for implanting a bypass graft between two vessels is described. The bypass graft comprises a first part and a second part, each having a tubular shape and comprising respective lumens. The method comprises the step of inserting a second sheath, from the outside to the inside of a bypass portion of the first part, through a puncture therein, and retracting the second sheath so as to deploy and implant a hook portion of the second part into the second vessel, and deploy a bypass portion of the second part outside the second vessel, from the second vessel to the first part, and within the lumen of the first part.
