摘要: The principal approaches to reducing the effects of global warming seek to slow the increase in atmospheric CO2 levels as a result of fossil fuel combustion for energy production and transportation. A process for hybrid carbon capture and mineralization are disclosed. The process utilizes both flue gas from (e.g., power plants) and reject brine from (e.g., desalination process). The process includes providing flue gas to react with an amine solution to produce carbamate; processing the carbamate in a reactor to regenerate amine and to produce a carbonate; treating reject brine to provide a ready-made brine for carbonation reaction; and processing the carbamate with salt from treating the brine to produce a carbonate.

摘要: An absorbent for desulfurization of combustion gas is provided. The absorbent includes about 1 to about 16 wt % of potassium carbonate (K2CO3); about 0.1 to about 10 wt % of a promoting agent including hindered cyclic amine, hindered cyclic amine bicarbonate, or a combination thereof; and a balance amount of water. In addition, a method of treating the combustion gas using the absorbent is provided.

摘要: Systems, devices and methods for submarine CO2 scrubbing are disclosed. The system may comprise an assembly including a sorbent, a scrubbing inlet configured to receive a first airflow during an adsorption mode. The first airflow may comprise air received from a cabin of a submarine. The assembly may be configured to flow the first airflow over and/or through the sorbent during the adsorption mode such that the sorbent removes a portion of CO2 entrained in the first airflow. The system may also include a scrubbing outlet configured to expel the scrubbed first airflow from the assembly into the cabin. The system may include an outside air inlet configured to receive a second airflow comprising outside air during a regeneration mode. The system may include a regeneration air outlet in configured to expel the second airflow after the second airflow has flowed over and/or through the sorbent during the regeneration mode.
