摘要: An atmospheric CO2 capture system includes a compartment housing a solid CO2 sorbent, an exchange fluid including a chemical component with selectivity towards CO2, and an electrochemical cell in fluid communication with the compartment, the system having a cycle including a first state of sorbing CO2 from incoming air onto the solid CO2 sorbent until a saturation point is reached; a second state of regenerating the sorbent by flooding the compartment with the exchange fluid to detach CO2 from the saturated sorbent and bind the detached CO2 to the chemical component; and a third state of regenerating the chemical component by detaching CO2 from the chemical component in the electrochemical cell and releasing the CO2 from the system.

摘要: Methods and systems for producing aromatics and light olefins from a mixed plastics stream are described. The method may include feeding a plastic feedstock to a dechlorination operation to melt the plastic feedstock to release HCl and generate a liquid plastic stream; feeding the liquid plastic stream to a pyrolysis reactor, the pyrolysis reactor to generate hydrocarbon vapors; feeding the hydrocarbon vapors to an acid gas removal reactor with a solid inorganic alkali salt disposed within the reaction vessel to remove residual HCl and sulfur-containing compounds from the hydrocarbon vapors to generate a plastic derived oil; and feeding the plastic derived oil to a fluid catalytic cracking reactor to generate a product stream comprising light olefins having a carbon number of C2-C4 and aromatics. The associated system for processing mixed plastics into aromatics and light olefins is also described.

摘要: A gas production device 1 comprises a connection unit 2 for supplying an exhaust gas including carbon dioxide CO2, a reducing gas supply unit 3 that supplies a reducing gas including H2 that reduces a reducing agent 4R that has been brought into an oxidized state by contact with the carbon dioxide CO2, the reducing agent including a metal oxide that generates CO by reducing the carbon dioxide CO2, and a reaction unit 4 provided with a plurality of reactors 4a to 4d connected respectively to the connection unit 2 and the reducing gas supply unit 3, and with the educing agent 4R that is contained in each of the reactors 4a to 4d, in which the reaction unit 4 being capable of switching between the oxidizing gas and the reducing gas to be supplied to each of the reactors 4a to 4d. The plurality of reactors 4a to 4d include first reactors and second reactors to which the reducing gas is supplied when the oxidizing gas is supplied to the first reactors, and the number of the first reactors is two or more and/or the number of the second reactors is two or more.

摘要: An adsorption bed utilizing Metal Organic Framework canisters to process flue gasses exiting from power generation plants. High temperature flue gas from a power generation is cooled and enters MOF containers where CO2 is adsorbed. CO2 is then de-adsorbed with additional high temperature flue gas. CO2 is collected and removed from flue gas. Electricity is generated using the heat differential and collected to power the device. Electronic control system uses sensors and controls valves, pumps, cooling system and MOF gates.

摘要: An apparatus for converting a toxic gas to benign substances comprises a housing characterized with multi-stages including a first stage, a second stage, a third stage and a fourth stage coupled to one another in sequence, wherein the first stage comprises a catalytic system configured to convert the toxic gas into its derivatives; the second stage comprises a carbonaceous fibrous material adapted to capture the remaining toxic gas and the derivatives; the third stage comprises at least one oxidizer to oxidize the remaining toxic gas to benign substances including CO2 and water; and the fourth stage comprises a scrubber configured to remove all of volatile organic compounds or water molecules generated as part of the first and third stages.

A volatile condensable material from the spacecraft is photofixed by the UV light exposure to the collector plate prior to venting through an exterior vent to an exterior of the spacecraft.

摘要: Some embodiments of the disclosure correspond to, for example, a method for controlling a scrubber containing an adsorbent. The scrubber may be configured to cycle between scrubbing at least one pollutant/gas from a stream of gases with the pollutant/gas being adsorbed onto the adsorbent, and regenerating at least some of the adsorbent and thereby purging at least some of the one pollutant and/or first gas from the adsorbent via a regeneration gas flow. The method may include flowing a stream of gases through the scrubber, the scrubber including the adsorbent and adsorbing at least some of the one pollutant/gas from the stream of gases onto the adsorbent during an adsorption phase over a first time period. The method may also include purging at least a portion of the one pollutant/ gas from the adsorbent during a regeneration phase over a second time period with a regeneration gas flow, and cycling therebetween. Some other embodiments of the disclosure, for example, include an air treatment assembly which includes an adsorbent for adsorbing at least on pollutant/gas from a flow of air in one direction, and purging at least some of the adsorbed pollut -ant/gas from the adsorbent with a regeneration air flow to regenerate the adsorbent.
