摘要: An air-cleaning filter includes a non-woven fabric for dust collection and a non-woven fabric for deodorization having activated carbon particles combined therewith. By adjusting the particle diameter and content of the activated carbon particles and laminating with a non-woven fabric coated with an absorber for other gases, a dust collecting function and a deodorizing function can be imparted at the same time while also creating a structure with a low differential pressure.

摘要: An air purification and recirculation system positioned within an animal rearing/sheltering facility. The system draws untreated air into an elongated air treatment apparatus having a dust scrubbing section, an ammonia scrubbing section, and acid scrubbing section, configured so that the treatment sections are positioned in series. At the end of the air treatment process, the treated air is exhausted back into the animal rearing facility so that the air is circulated within the facility. Acid and water used during the air treatment process are continuously recycled and directed back through the scrubbers in the air treatment apparatus.

摘要: A method for generating hydrogen from a mixture of nitrogen containing borane compound and active metal borohydride reactants uses a catalyst-free water vapor driven hydrothermolysis process. The method involves mechanically mixing a selected ratio of nitrogen containing borane compound such as ammonia borane and an active metal borohydride such as sodium borohydride to produce a mixture, combining the mixture with a water vapor source, and heating the mixture and water vapor source to a temperature within a near ambient temperature range of 30° C. to 104° C., until a product gas comprising hydrogen is released. The heating can be at a constant temperature or at increasing temperatures. Water vapor and impurities are removed from the product gas to produce purified hydrogen gas.

摘要: This invention relates to a Cu-BTC MOF which is water stable. The Cu-BTC MOF has been modified by substituting some of the BTC ligand (1,3,5, benzene tricarboxylic acid) with 5-aminoisophthalic acid (AIA). The resultant MOF retains at least 40% of its as synthesized surface area after exposure to liquid water at 60° C. for 6 hours. This is an unexpected result versus the MOF containing only the BTC ligand. This MOF can be used to abate contaminants such as ammonia in gas streams and especially air streams.

摘要: A method for removing ammonia (NH3) from a gas produced in a pulp mill (100). The method comprises producing raw non-condensable gas comprising ammonia (NH3) in the pulp mill (100) and transferring at least some of the raw non-condensable gas to a scrubber (200) containing aqueous scrubbing solution (130, 140). The method comprises adding a compound capable of decreasing a pH of the scrubbing solution to the scmbbing solution (130, 140) and in the scrubber (200), contacting the raw non-condensable gas with the scmbbing solution (130, 140), to react the ammonia (NH3) of the raw non-condensable gas with the scmbbing solution to produce clean non-condensable gas and ammonium (NH4+). A pulp mill comprising equipment for performing the method.
