    摘要: A bidirectional filter and a heat pump system. The bidirectional filter comprises a housing and at least two control value components. The two control value components divide the inner chamber of the housing into a filter chamber and two transitional chambers. The control value component comprises a frame body fixed on an inner wall of the housing, and an outlet blocking piece fitting an outlet of the frame body. The outlet blocking piece is on an outer side of the frame body. The bidirectional filter further comprises a protective member located in the filter chamber and fixed relative to the housing. The protective member is provided with a protective surface opposite to an outer side surface of the outlet blocking piece. When the pressure of a refrigerant in the pipeline is too high, the protective surface of the protective member can limit movement of the outlet blocking piece.

First and second filter elements are disposed in their respective cavities and filter in the respective forward and reverse directions fluid entering the first and second ports, respectively.

    摘要: A filter apparatus for a home reverse osmosis water system is provided. The apparatus has a head, which has a forward flow inlet port for connection to a reverse osmosis water unit, and which has a reverse flow outlet port for connection to a water service faucet. The apparatus also has a cartridge, which has a twist-on securing means for connection to the head, a filter assembly for filtering forward fluid flow and for filtering reverse fluid flow, and a combination inlet and outlet port for connection to a pressurized water tank. The filter assembly has a primary filter unit, which is disposed in a cartridge primary chamber, and a secondary filter unit, which is disposed in a cartridge secondary chamber, and a valve means, e.g., check valve, which is disposed between the primary chamber and the secondary chamber, whereby forward fluid flow is permitted to flow through the primary filter unit and also through the secondary filter unit, and reverse fluid flow is only permitted to flow through the secondary filter unit.The foregoing apparatus enables permeate from a reverse osmosis module to pass through the filtration cartridge, first through the primary and then the secondary filter unit, and after storage of the filtrate therefrom, passing the stored filtrate through the secondary filter unit of the filtration cartridge in a reverse direction to the direction the permeate passed through the unit, to filter the water just prior to use.

    摘要: A filter module for a filter battery includes an outer wall that surrounds a chamber having inflow and outflow ends. An inner wall divides the chamber into a plurality of compartments including an inflow compartment, outflow compartment, bi-directional compartment and drain compartment. Each compartment extends from the inflow end to the outflow end of the chamber. First and second holes are formed in the outer wall providing access to the bi-directional and outflow compartments, respectively. For each module, a filter is positioned outside the chamber and along a flow path between the bi-directional compartment and the outflow compartment. A valve directs flow within the module and switches the module between modes. In fluid filtering mode, fluid passes sequentially through the inflow compartment, bi-directional compartment, filter and then the outflow compartment. In a filter cleaning mode, fluid passes sequentially through the outflow compartment, filter, bi-directional compartment, and then the drain compartment.

    摘要: An improved fuel filter cartridge comprises a housing which defines an opening, a filter element enclosed within the housing, and a flow-reversing insert disposed within the housing between the opening and the filter element. The improved filter cartridge is preferably used with a conventional header of the type having a fuel entry port, a fuel exit port, a central first conduit for interiorly defining a first axial fuel passage which is in fluid communication with the entry port of the header. Headers used with the improved filter cartridge also include a second conduit surrounding and cooperating with the first conduit to define a second axial fuel passage therebetween, the second fuel passage being in fluid communication with the exit port of the header, and a base for mounting the filter cartridge thereto. When the filter cartridge is mounted to the base of the header, the insert, filter element and housing cooperate to define a first chamber in communication with the first conduit of the header and to define a second chamber in communication with the second conduit of the header. Fuel delivered to the exit port of the header progressively flows through the second conduit, is guided radially outwardly by the insert, flows through the filter element, flows through the first conduit and, finally, flows into the entry port of the header. Methods of using the improved filter cartridge are also disclosed.

    摘要: A filter device comprising a cannister container of impervious material having therewithin a pleated filter with at least one of the side edges of each of the individual pleats being sealed. Appropriate inlet/outlet structure is provided with the cannister body, as well as an appropriate support base for holding same. In one embodiment, the pleated filter material has both side edges of the individual pleats sealed and large spaced flow passageways between the respective edges are provided by a plurality of seals between the edges. Another embodiment has only one side edge of the individual pleats sealed with the other side edge being open for collectively sealing same by the structure of the cannister body itself. In this embodiment, a larger plurality of fluid flow passageways are provided by multiple sealed portions between the respective side edges of the individual pleats. After the pleated material is formed and sealed, the overall structure is formed in the shape of a torus for appropriate mounting in one of the various cannisters.

    摘要: A bi-directional filter drier is provided for reverse flow applications as encountered, for example, in heat pump systems. The filter drier includes a shell defining a chamber, the shell having an inlet and an outlet, preferably axially aligned with one another, which communicate with the chamber. A suitable filter means is positioned in the chamber and a fluid flow path within the chamber is designed so that fluid flow through the filter always occurs in a single direction, regardless of the direction of flow through the inlet and outlet. Flow within the chamber and thus the filter is controlled by a simply constructed valve combination at the inlet and the outlet.

    摘要: A single line return filter for insertion in a bidirectional conduit comprising a housing having a filter element disposed therein. The housing has a reservoir-side port which is connected by a first passage to the discharge side of the filter element. The housing also has a pump-side port which is connected by a second passage to the inlet side of the filter element. A weakly biased check valve permits flow from said first passage to said second passage when there is a slight pressure drop from the discharge side to the inlet side of the filter thereby preventing backflow through the element. The bias is sufficient to close the check valve when the flow through said filter ceases thereby directing flow through the filter when there is a pressure drop from the inlet side to the discharge side of the filter element. A strongly biased check valve assembly permits flow from the second passage to the first passage when the pressure drop from the inlet side of the filter element to the discharge side exceeds a preset safe level.
