    摘要: A mixing machine 1 comprising a mixing head 3 having element(s) for connecting to a receptacle to form a mixing container. The mixing head 3 is pivotably supported in a frame 2 such that the mixing container can pivot for the mixing process. The mixing head 3 has at least one rotationally driven mixing tool whose drive shaft 23 extends through the wall of the mixing head 3. The mixing head 3 has a double wall with a perforated inner wall 8. The perforations form a fluid path from the chamber surrounded by the inner wall 8 to the intermediate wall chamber 10. The intermediate wall chamber 10 is connected to a pressure adjustment device for adjusting the pressure. A flexible liner 15 is arranged in the mixing head 3 on its inner surface, which liner 15 can be fixed to the inner wall 8 of the mixing head by applying a vacuum.

The primary reservoir preferably including calibrated fluid level indicia displayed on an outer surface. Such an assembly may further include a secondary reservoir preferably having a secondary cavity adapted to receive the powder agent. The secondary reservoir preferably including calibrated level indicia displayed on its outer surface. The secondary reservoir is further removably positioned into the primary reservoir such that a major surface area of the secondary reservoir is completely submerged inside the primary reservoir. A plurality of orifices may preferably be formed along a top region of the secondary reservoir, the orifices further situated inside the primary reservoir, thereby causing the secondary cavity to be in fluid communication with the primary cavity when the secondary reservoir is situated within the primary reservoir.

    摘要: A mixing system employing a rotary blade mixing assembly designed to mix liquid-like, resinous powders with a particulate tinting agent or other additive to produce a uniform, homogeneous powder is disclosed. The mixing system includes a mixing container that may be inverted up to 180° and includes a rotary blade mixing assembly having at least two sets of mixing blades connected to a central shaft and arranged in parallel planes, each set having at least two mixing blades which are connected to the central shaft. Each blade is pitched at an angle to about 20° to about 45° from horizontal as measured following a 180° inversion of the mixing container. Use of the method of the invention is advantageous when uniform color of the final coating powder is desired. The method comprises utilizing the above-mentioned mixing container to hold at least two powders, placing a mixing head containing the above-mentioned rotary blade mixing assembly in the container in sealed relationship, inverting the mixing container while commencing rotation of the mixing blades, and mixing the powders with a blade tip speed of from about 1,000 ft/min to about 5,000 ft/min to cause the powders to be lifted along the container side walls and fall down a central portion of the container. The mixing container is then returned to its original position.
