Abstract: A system and a method for the production and provision of CO2 gas are disclosed. A sealable chamber is equipped with heating means and when a CO2 carrier material, such as sodium bicarbonate is placed in it and heated to its decomposition temperature CO2 gas is released. The released gas is conveyed into liquid within a container and when the pressure of the gas in the container raises more and more CO2 gas is dissolved. The heating may be done by conduction mechanism, a microwave heating mechanism or by induction mechanism. The sodium bicarbonate or any other material including carbon dioxide may be disposed in powder, solid, suspension, emulsion, solution or wet powder form. It may be disposed in thin envelope case.

Abstract: A beverage mixing system/method allowing faster mixing/blending of frozen beverages is disclosed. The system/method in various embodiments utilizes inductive coupling to introduce heat into the frozen beverage during the mixing/blending process via a rotating driveshaft and attached mechanical agitator to speed the mixing/blending process. Exemplary embodiments may be configured to magnetically induce heat into the driveshaft and/or mechanical agitator mixing blade to affect this mixing/blending performance improvement. This heating effect may be augmented via the use of high power LED arrays aimed into the frozen slurry to provide additional heat input. The system/method may be applied with particular advantage to the mixing of ice cream type beverages and other viscous beverage products.

Abstract: A mixing and dispensing apparatus configured to be used in conjunction with a hydration backpack or similar liquid containments are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a reservoir containing a solvent positioned within the hydration backpack. The apparatus further comprises a housing with cartridges, which is in fluid communication with the reservoir via an inlet tube attached to one end of the housing. The cartridge configured to store a solute, which is in fluid communication with the housing via a mixing interface positioned on each cartridge. The opposing end of the housing is attached to an outlet tube, aiding in fluid communication with the housing. The cartridge is pressurized to allow the solute to be extruded through the mixing interface, thereby dissolving the solute with the solvent within the housing. A bite valve is distally positioned to the outlet tube, in which a user suctions the bite valve to allow the transfer of the dissolved solution to a user's mouth.
