    摘要: An apparatus for splicing together two large sheets of material, e.g., seismic sections, where one operator can carry out the splicing operation. The apparatus is comprised of a work surface onto which the material is positioned and held in place by vacuum and mechanical means. A carriage, mounted on guide means which extend across the work surface, has a knife which cuts the material along a desired line as the carriage moves in a first direction and adhesive dispensing means to apply tape to the material along said desired line as the carriage moves in the opposite direction.

    摘要: Apparatus for positioning and attaching a reinforcing ring in coaxial relationship to a floppy disk, includes a force translating mechanism mounted for movement to and from a resiliently mounted circular receiving member. A cylindrical positioning member, connected to the force translating mechanism, has first and second concentric reference surfaces corresponding respectively to the inner diameter of the reinforcing ring, which is carried by the force translating member, and the inner diameter of the floppy disk, which is disposed about the receiving member. During movement of the force translating mechanism toward the receiving member to bring the reinforcing ring into bonding relationship with the floppy disk, the positioning member moves axially relative to the force translating mechanism between (1) a first position in which the first reference surface causes the force translating mechanism to carry the ring in a predetermined disk-attaching position, to (2) a second position engaging the receiving member in which the second reference surface causes the floppy disk to be located in a position concentric with the disk-attaching position of the ring.

    摘要: This invention comprehends apparatus for attaching selfadhesive, perforated edging strips to unperforated sheet material which is moved on a horizontal conveyor, more particularly drawing copy masters, with a storage and supply device for the edging strips which are serially and self-adhesively attached on a support strip in the manner of a belt and are detached therefrom, relative to probes which respond to the feed of the sheet material and of the edging strips, on a separating edge which deflects the said support strip, the edging strips being moved into a stand-by position in which they are retained on a perforated plate by means of suction air, characterized in that the edging strips are supplied perpendicularly to the conveying direction of the sheet material, and the plate is disposed below the conveyor for the sheet material in such a way that its surface rises towards the conveyor in the conveying direction.
