The process involves conveying a HDPE resin through an extruder, wherein the extruder comprises a feed zone, a first melt zone downstream of the feed zone, a second melt zone downstream of the first melt zone, and a third melt zone downstream of the second melt zone. The resin is melted in the first zone, contacted with oxygen in the second melt zone, and contacted antioxidant in the third melt zone.

In the method, a resin composition is obtained by mixing an emulsion of PTFE (A) with a number average molecular weight of 5×106 or more and an emulsion of PTFE (B) with a number average molecular weight of 1×106 to 4×106 so that the solid content ratio (A/B) of the PTFE (A) and the PTFE (B) is 99/1 to 10/90. The mixed emulsion is subjected to compression molding in a melted state under a reduced-pressure atmosphere to obtain a film.

Methods and systems are disclosed for determining plastic components of a blended plastic material. According to a method of the present invention, a blending computer access supply data describing characteristics of each of a plurality of plastic components. The blending computer receives specification data which identifies at least one desired characteristic of the blended plastic material. The blending computer processes the supply data and the specification data to determine combinations of certain of the plastic components that may produce the blended plastic material having the at least one desired characteristic. The blending computer determines, for each combination, a preferred percentage of each of the plastic components of the combination, and reports the combinations and preferred percentages.

In the present invention, a plurality of operating conditions for shaping the resin material into the profile are determined. The dimensions of each of the plurality of sections of the profile are then specified. The profile dimensions include width and thickness. Extrusion information for the polymer resin including die swell/drawdown and flow balance is obtained. Die dimensions for shaping the profile in accordance with the operating conditions, the profile dimensions, and the extrusion information are then determined.
