摘要:
Reactive inks and methods of generating an image on a substrate using both reactive and heat activated inks are presented. An image is printed on a substrate, without reacting the reagents in the ink. Subsequently, the reagents are reacted to fix the image to a substrate, with substantial permanency and fastness. Sublimation or similar heat activated dyes are printed are also printed on the substrate. The sublimation or similar heat activated dyes are activated, and have an affinity for polymer that is applied to the substrate.

The present disclosure relates to patterned, flame resistant fabrics and methods of making them. Generally speaking, the fabrics comprise a plurality of high tenacity, flame resistant fibers, and a plurality of cellulosic fibers containing a flame retardant compound, and at least one color which is printed on the fabric to form the pattern. In a preferred embodiment, the flame resistant fibers are para-aramid fibers and the cellulosic fibers are rayon fibers to yield a strong, flame resistant fabric.

The invention relates to a method for dyeing split-type microfibers made of a composite of polyester and polyamide by a yarn dyeing process. The method comprises: a weight reduction step comprising winding the microfibers on a yarn dyeing machine and adding an alkali agent at a uniform temperature of 100-130° G for 30-60 minutes to make a reduction of 6-15% in the weight of the microfibers; a water-washing step comprising injecting iron-free water at 70-80 0C onto the microfibers through a nozzle, applying water pressure to remove foreign materials while scouring the microfibers by the addition of a scouring agent, and treating the microfibers with acid to a pH of 4-5; a dyeing step of dyeing the microfibers under pressure by the addition of a dye together with a dispersant, a leveling agent, an antistatic agent and a softening agent; and water-washing and drying the dyed microfibers.

A nonwoven textile substrate formed from microfibers with a polyuerthane matrix fully and/or partially impregnated therein, a nonazo disperse dye within microfibers, including the surface, and the matrix. The dyed fibers having an L value of about 35 or less, an ΔE light fastness of about 6 or less when subjected to about 225 kilo-joules, and a long term crock of at least about 1.5.

The invention relates to a method for dyeing and/or printing textile material containing non-split and/or at least partially split micro-fibres and/or micro-filaments, composed of at least one polyamide component and optionally at least one additional polymer component. According to said method, the textile material is treated with formic acid and is dyed and/or printed using at least one dye, selected from the group containing anionic acidic dyes, metal complex dyes, reactive dyes, direct dyes and cationic dyes.

A reactive toner that is energy-activated is printed by means of an electrographic device such as a laser printer. The reactive toner is printed onto a substrate. Toner components that cross-link and bond the printed toner permanently onto the substrate, or another substrate through a transfer process, are activated by the application of energy to react after printing. Reaction of the energy-activated components may be inhibited with blocking or protecting agents. The image is permanently bonded onto the substrate when the protection provided by the protecting agents is removed by the application of energy to the printed toner. The toner may comprise energy-activated components, colorants, color enhancing polymeric materials, binder resins, internal and external additives such as waxes and charge control agents. The energy-activated components have multiple functional groups that react with active hydrogen, components that contain active hydrogen, or components that are capable of conversion to active hydrogen containing groups.

Fabric blends of inherently flame resistant fibers and flame resistant cellulosic fibers that contain a flame retardant. According to the method of production of these blends, the inherently flame resistant fibers can be dyed a full shade of color without depleting the flame retardant contained in the cellulosic fibers. In addition, the potential for laundering shrinkage of the inherently flame resistant fibers of the blends is reduced regardless of whether both, one of, or neither of the inherently flame resistant fibers and the flame resistant cellulosic fibers are dyed. Dyeing and/or shrinkage prevention of these blends is conducted at temperatures below 100° C., typically approximately between 70° C. and 100° C. Preferably, dye-assistants used in the process are selected from the group comprising N-cyclohexylpyrrolidone, benzyl alcohol, N,N-dibutylformamide, N,N-diethylbenzamide, hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium salt, N,N-dimethylbenzamide, N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide, N-octylpyrrolidone, aryl ether, an approximately 50/50 blend of N,N-dimethylcaprylamide and N,N-dimethylcapramide, and mixtures thereof.

The invention relates to a process for dyeing or printing blends of cellulosic fibre materials and silk with reactive dyes, which process comprises impregnating said blends with reactive dyes of formula ##STR1## wherein D is the radical of a sulfonated dye of the monoazo, polyazo, metal complex azo, anthraquinone, phthalocyanine, formazan, azomethine, dioxazine, phenazine, stilbene, triphenylmethane, xanthene, thioxanthone, nitroaryl, naphthoquinone, pyrenequinone or perylenetetracarbimide series, R is hydrogen or unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, Y is a radical ##STR2## m is 1 or 2 and X is chloro or bromo, subjecting the impregnated goods to an optional aftertreatment, and steaming the dyed goods to fix the dyes on the blend. Very good tone-in-tone dyeings and prints are obtained.
