Abstract: A vehicle wheel e.g. for passenger cars, having a disc part connected to a rim part, the disc part, integrally formed form a sheet metal blank, has a central part with bolt holes for wheel bolts and a central hole for a vehicle hub, and a plurality of radially extending spoke arrangements for transmitting forces between the vehicle hub and the rim part. Each spoke arrangement is provided with a central web, merging on both sides into a radially extending side web, being bent outwards from the surface of the central web, and an edge web, bent back again relative to the side web, wherein the radially outer ends of the webs merge into a disc rim, being aligned parallel to the wheel axis, connecting all spoke arrangements to one another and delimiting ventilation holes. In order to provide, without structural drawbacks, steel vehicle wheels with an unequal number of bolt holes and spoke arrangements, an inner annular bead and an outer annular bead are formed in the central part, which beads are concentric with one another and with the disc rim, and a raised annular strip provided with the bolt holes is formed between the beads.

Abstract: Each spoke portion includes spoke projecting threads on both sides thereof, and a reinforcing plate portion is formed so as to protrude from a side edge of each of the spoke projecting threads outward in a spoke widthwise direction. The reinforcing plate portion is formed continuously with an inter-spoke plate potion extended from a fitting portion of a disc flange portion to a wheel radially inner side, and forms an integral plate surface with the inter-spoke plate portion. With this configuration, it is possible to reduce imbalance of rigidity of the spoke portion in a radial direction, and to increase rigidity of an automobile wheel.

Abstract: An improved wheel construction for a motorcycle or other vehicle wherein a wheel hub is combined wih a wheel rim by a plurality of pairs of radially-extending trapezoidal-shaped spoke members, each pair including two symmetrically opposed spoke members. In the vertical cross-section, the oppositely-disposed spokes of each pair from an isosceles triangle with the hub forming the base of the triangle, while a second triangle is formed by opposite side edges of adjacent spokes (in a side view) and a part of the wheel rim, with the apex of the second triangle formed at an intermediate connecting portion between the radially extending spokes.
