Abstract:
A joint (1) between two vehicle components (2, 3) joined to each other with a hinge, such as of an articulated vehicle, comprising an articulated joint (10), wherein the articulated joint (10) comprises two joint segments (11, 12) that are rotatably connected to each other by a tensioning device (20) acting as a vertical axis, the one, first joint segment (11) having a U-shaped, jaw-like opening (13) for seizing the other, second joint segment (12) in the region of the vertical axis, sliding devices (16) being provided between the joint segments (11, 12) and acting in at least the axial direction, the tensioning device (2) operable to generate pretension on the joint segments (11, 12), the one joint segment (11) having two joint segment elements (11a, 11b) that are each separately fastened with screws to the frame (40) of the vehicle frame (3).
Abstract:
The invention provides a light transport vehicle useful for transporting children and cargo. The transport vehicle may be used as a bicycle trailer, a stroller, a jogger, a sled or other configuration and may be convertible therebetween. The transport vehicle comprising: a folding mechanism allowing the transport vehicle to easily folds into compact size, a hitch for connecting to a bicycle, an adjustable suspension system for a smoother ride for the occupants and cargo, and an attachment receiver to accept conversion attachments.
Abstract:
A roll coupling assembly includes a roll torque transfer structure and an alignment mechanism. The torque transfer structure includes- a first load bearing structure mountable to the rear of the tow vehicle, and a second load bearing structure mountable to the front of the trailer drawbar. Corresponding first and second load bearing surfaces cooperate so as to releasably mate with one another for towing of the trailer behind the tow vehicle. The bearing surfaces are distributed across a substantially planar interface between the rear of the tow vehicle and the front of the trailer drawbar so as to distribute to the tow vehicle torque imparted to the drawbar by relative rolling motion between the trailer and tow vehicle. The coupling alignment mechanism adjusts the relative orientation of the first and second load bearing surfaces so as to align them for mating to one another.
Abstract:
A tow bar apparatus, that allows a towing vehicle to tow a towed vehicle, has a hitch member, a pair of tow bars, and a pair of socket members. The hitch member is adapted to engage a tow bar receiver of the towing vehicle. The pair of socket members are adapted to be attached to the towed vehicle. Each of the pair of tow bars includes a plate ball member at a first end for pivotally engaging one of the pair of socket members. Each of the pair of tow bars further includes a second end, the second ends of the pair of tow bars being joined to form a hitch ball member that pivotably and rotatably engages the hitch member.

Abstract:
The invention relates to an improved hitch coupling assembly which dampens the hunting movements of a road trailer being towed by a motor vehicle and which is intended for a vehicle combination comprising a motor vehicle and a trailer. More specifically, the inventive hitch coupling assembly (4) comprises: (i) a first pivot coupling (12) for the hunting movements, consisting of a pivoting device which dampens the hunting movements (40) of the trailer and which is housed in a closed space such that it is sheltered from the ingress of pollutant materials; and (ii) a second coupling (21) for the rolling and pitching movements, which is used for the play-free transmission of the hunting movements to the first coupling, the axis of the hunting movements being thus decoupled from the rolling and pitching movements. The damping device preferably comprises a stack of friction disks (41) which are alternately solidly connected to the vehicle or the trailer and which pivot in relation to one another under the effect of the hunting movements.
Abstract:
The trailer hitch receiver cover of the present invention has a resilient means for covering and sealing the peripheral collar or flange of the hitch receiver. It also has integrally-formed means for covering and sealing the lateral holes in the hitch receiver. In alternative embodiments, the lateral hole sealing means is accomplished by structure that is disposed either internally to the trailer hitch receiver or externally to it.

Abstract:
The quick hitch drawbar assembly accepts a standard yoke hitch but simplifies the tractor/scraper connection. Holes in the drawbar are replaced with slots which are angled to prevent accidental disconnection. These slots are wider at the top to simplify alignment of the yoke pin down the slots to be seated in a pin cradle. The forward portion of the drawbar ears are raised to form a stop for the horizontal pin when positioning the tractor.
