    Abstract: A strut bearing unit for a motor vehicle includes a lower cup for supporting a suspension spring, an upper cup for coupling with a top mount which provides a connection to a chassis of the motor vehicle, and a bearing interposed between the upper cup and the lower cup. The upper cup has an inner cylindrical surface and a first set of protruding ribs formed on the inner cylindrical surface for providing a connection between the top mount and the upper cup. The first set of protruding ribs extends axially and is circumferentially distributed around the inner cylindrical surface. Each rib of the first set of protruding ribs has a first axial portion and a second axial portion, the first axial portion and the second axial portion having different thicknesses in the radial direction.

    Abstract: An arrangement for securing a vehicle vibration damper on a wheel support and/or on a vehicle body includes a rubber bearing secured by a fastener, the rubber bearing including at least two rubber bushings. When in an installed position, at least one of the rubber bushings is secured in three longitudinal degrees of freedom relative to the wheel support or the vehicle body, and a rotational degree of freedom of the one of the bushings about the axis of the fastener is blocked by a form-fitting arrangement. The form-fitting arrangement formed by engagement of a nose on the one of the bushings into a recess arranged in a rubber bearing receiving area of the wheel support and/or vehicle body. The nose and the recess are shaped such that the form fitting connection is formed only by installing the fastener, without the need for manually rotating the bushing with a tool.

    Abstract: A connection of a suspension strut to a body of a motor vehicle is provided. Motor vehicles, and in particular passenger motor vehicles, have a suspension strut for each wheel. The lower end region of the suspension strut is joined to the wheel suspension, while the upper end region of the suspension strut is connected to the body of the motor vehicle. For this purpose, the upper end region of the suspension strut has a holder by which the suspension strut is connected to the body. The holder is detachably connected to a body element of the body that extends substantially in parallel with the longitudinal extent of the suspension strut in the flat connecting region.

    Abstract: A shock absorber for a vehicle suspension system may include a damper tube defining an axis, a rod operably coupled to the damper tube to be movable along the axis relative to the damper tube in response to jounce and rebound events, a dust boot operably coupled to the rod and extending along peripheral sides of the rod and at least a proximal end of the damper tube relative to the rod, the dust boot being movable with the rod, a target disposed on a damper bump cap operably coupled to the proximal end of the damper tube, and a measurement assembly affixed to the dust boot. The measurement assembly may include a PCB elongated parallel to the axis to track relative movement between the target and the measurement assembly responsive to the jounce and rebound events to generate ride height information based on the relative movement.
