    Abstract: A motor vehicle includes multiple wheels, each having at least one assigned hydraulically actuatable brake; first and second separate hydraulic braking circuits each including multiple valves for modulating a braking pressure in the two separate hydraulic braking circuits, the multiple valves forming a valve assembly; a first control device controlling the multiple valves; third and fourth separate hydraulic braking circuits and a second control device respectively of same construction as the first and second braking circuits and the first control device; a brake booster, operably connectable to the two separate hydraulic braking circuits and the two further separate hydraulic braking circuits; and a valve unit arranged downstream of the brake booster. In response to a malfunction of the first and/or the second braking circuits the valve unit is switchable from a first position in which it connects the valve assembly of the first and second braking circuits to the brake booster, into a second position in which it connects the valve assembly of the third and fourth braking circuits to the brake booster.

    Abstract: A method for influencing the direction of travel of motor vehicles. The motor vehicle has a first steering system, having at least one steering axle with at least two wheels. The wheels are connected to the steering axle through wheel suspensions that can be adjusted by actuators. A redundant steering system is realized by adjusting a steering roll radius of at least one of the steering axles, according to which a force component acting orthogonally to the direction of travel in the region of at least one wheel is applied to the first steering system.

    Abstract: A motor vehicle includes a first and a second set of two separate hydraulic braking circuits. Each of the two braking circuits of each of the first and second set includes a valve assembly for modulating a braking pressure in the two separate hydraulic braking circuits. A valve unit is arranged downstream of a brake booster and is switchable in response to a malfunction of one or both of the two braking circuits of the first set from a first position in which it connects the valve assembly of the two separate hydraulic braking circuits of the first set to the brake booster, into a second position in which it connects the valve assembly of the two separate hydraulic braking circuits of the second set to the brake booster.

    Abstract: A method for adjusting a zero position of a brake pedal of a brake system of a motor vehicle. A separating valve arranged at least between a main brake cylinder and the respective wheel brakes of the brake system is opened in order to reduce a volume of the brake fluid in a secondary circuit of the brake system. At least one separating valve is then closed again after the volume of the brake fluid of the secondary circuit has been reduced by the predetermined volume amount, and the brake pedal is moved to a new zero position.

    Abstract: A brake system for a motor vehicle. A braking pressure source and at least one wheel brake, which can be impinged by brake pressure provided by the brake pressure source. The brake pressure is provided with at least one pressure piston arranged so that it is linearly displaceable in a pressure cylinder, and with an engine for displacing the pressure piston in the engine which is coupled to pressure piston via a gear. At the same time the gear is provided with force transmission paths which are at least partially parallel to each other and arranged in an operative connection between the engine and the pressure piston.
