    摘要: According to at least one aspect, the present disclosure provides a method of controlling an electro-hydraulic brake including an electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) control function, the method comprising: an emergency braking determination operation of determining whether emergency braking is required for a vehicle; a motor control operation of controlling a current flowing in a motor connected to a main master cylinder to increase hydraulic pressure supplied to wheel brakes when it is determined that the emergency braking is required; a rear wheel inlet valve closing operation of closing an inlet valve connected to a rear wheel brake for a predetermined time so that a pressure of the rear wheel brake is not increased earlier than a pressure of a front wheel brake; a closed time period calculation operation of calculating a time during which the inlet valve is maintained in a closed state; and a rear wheel inlet valve opening operation of determining whether a time during which the inlet valve is closed exceeds a closed time period (t), maintaining the inlet valve in the closed state until the time reaches the closed time period (t), and opening the inlet valve when the time exceeds the closed time period (t).

    摘要: A brake system is disclosed including a tandem master cylinder with a vacuum brake power booster and wheel brakes connected to the tandem master cylinder by brake lines. Each brake line contains a braking pressure modulator of a brake slip control appartaus, and interposed between the braking pressure modulators and the wheel brakes are braking pressure regulators which serve to reduce the pressure in the wheel brakes in relation to the pressure in the brake lines. To avoid impairment of the control behavior in the event of anti-lock control, the wheel brakes inserted after the braking pressure regulators are connectible by lines and solenoid valves in the braking pressure modulators directly to a return line leading to a supply reservoir.

    摘要: There is disclosed a dual-circuit brake-force distributor wherein the control force of one circuit is transmitted to the other circuit through a floating intermediate piston. In order to achieve a highly sensitive control, the intermediate piston is provided with a large cross-sectional area. In the event of failure of the one circuit, the intermediate piston will become blocked and the control force will be transmitted through an auxiliary piston having a smaller cross-sectional area. By this arrangement upon failure of the one circuit a sufficient amount of braking pressure can still build up in the other intact braking circuit.

    摘要: An automotive anti-lock brake control system includes first and second directional control valves selectively shiftable between a first position in which a master cylinder communicates with first and second wheel cylinders associated with front and rear wheels, respectively, and a second position in which the first and second wheel cylinders communicate with a reservoir. A proportional valve is disposed between the master cylinder and the second directional control valve for producing a fluid pressure difference between the first and second wheel cylinders. The brake fluid stored in the reservoir is pumped by a fluid pump back to a pipe portion between the master cylinder and the proportional valve.

    摘要: A twin-piston (e.g. tandem) master cylinder is provided for a split braking system having disc brakes on some wheels of a vehicle and drum brakes on others. A delay valve is incorporated in the master cylinder for the supply to the disc brakes, the delay valve having a valve member controlled by one of the master cylinder pistons to initially shut-off the supply of fluid to the disc brakes after the piston has moved a short distance. A plunger moves against a control spring to re-open the supply to the disc brakes above a predetermined pressure.

    摘要: There is disclosed a reducer unit for a motorcycle brake system including a hand master cylinder actuatable by hand force and a pedal master cylinder actuatable by force applied to the pedal. The reducer, which is connected to both master cylinders, ensures at all times optimum brake force distribution, in spite of different actuating forces. In this arrangement, the valve closure member controlling the connection between the pedal master cylinder and the rear-wheel brake is influenced by the pedal master cylinder pressure such that it is allowed to assume its closing position only when pressure is built up by the pedal master cylinder. Vacuum otherwise occurring in the rear-wheel brake is thus effectively avoided.
