    摘要： A vehicle includes a pair of front wheels, a frame portion, a drive source, a pair of suspension assemblies, a pair of drive shafts, a steering wheel, and a transfer mechanism which transfers movement of the steering wheel to the pair of front wheels. Each of the pair of suspension assemblies includes an upper arm supported pivotably by the frame portion, a lower arm supported pivotably by the frame portion below the upper arm, and a knuckle arm connecting the upper arm and the lower arm to each other. The transfer mechanism includes a steering shaft portion extending from the steering wheel and rotates with the steering wheel, a rack-and-pinion portion provided at a tip region of the steering shaft portion, and a pair of tie rods extending in a width direction of the vehicle and connecting the rack-and-pinion portion to the pair of knuckle arms. Each of the pair of drive shafts passes through between the upper arm and the lower arm, whereas each of the pair of tie rods passes above the upper arm.

    摘要： In a utility vehicle, a muffler accommodating chamber is defined in front of and below an engine mounted at a front portion of a vehicle frame. A rear wall of the muffler accommodating chamber is formed by a front axle frame which is mounted to extend between both of vertical frame portions of the vehicle frame and supports a front axle beam for rotatably supporting front wheels at its opposite ends. The front axle frame has a function to support the front axle beam, a function as a strength member in the form of a cross member, and a function as a member defining the muffler accommodating chamber. A driving gear is mounted to a steering shaft and thrust-supported by a lower surface of a support portion of a support frame which is fixedly mounted on the vehicle frame. A driven gear meshed with the driving gear and a pitman arm are connected to a rotary shaft whose axially upward movement is limited by the support portion and whose axially downward movement is limited by a bracket mounted to the vehicle frame. Thus, the assembling and disassembling of a steering system are facilitated, and it is possible to protect the driving and driven gears from an external force and to accurately determine a distance between the steering shaft and the rotary shaft.

A rack and pinion assembly is attached to the axle member and has an input shaft coupled to a steering wheel, and a laterally movable rack member. The outer ends of the rack member are pivotally coupled via a vertical pivot pin to one end of a corresponding tie rod member. The other end of each tie rod member is pivotally coupled to one end of a connecting rod and to one end of a rocker arm. The other end of each connecting rod is pivotally coupled to a corresponding half fork member. The other end of each rocker arm is pivotally coupled to a corresponding outer end of the axle member.

    摘要： A steering mechanism for use in a vehicle, such as an industrial truck or the like, in which a two-way power steering actuator cylinder having a piston rod extending from both ends is supported from and above a steering axle by pivot tube and pivot shaft members which enable universal movement of the steering cylinder, the piston rod functioning also as a tie rod which is connected at each opposite end to a modified four-bar steering linkage which is in turn connected to a dirigible wheel. King post assemblies are secured to opposite ends of the steer axle which connect the four-bar linkages to the wheels. Each such linkage includes a steering link extended in length to connect the adjacent end of the actuator piston rod. One end of a guide link of the four-bar linkage is connected to the steering link intermediate the ends thereof.
