摘要: An energy storage system converts variable renewable electricity (VRE) to continuous heat at over 1000° C. Intermittent electrical energy heats a solid medium. Heat from the solid medium is delivered continuously on demand. An array of bricks incorporating internal radiation cavities is directly heated by thermal radiation. The cavities facilitate rapid, uniform heating via reradiation. Heat delivery via flowing gas establishes a thermocline which maintains high outlet temperature throughout discharge. Gas flows through structured pathways within the array, delivering heat which may be used for processes including calcination, hydrogen electrolysis, steam generation, and thermal power generation and cogeneration. Groups of thermal storage arrays may be controlled and operated at high temperatures without thermal runaway via deep-discharge sequencing. Forecast-based control enables continuous, year-round heat supply using current and advance information of weather and VRE availability. High-voltage DC power conversion and distribution circuitry improves the efficiency of VRE power transfer into the system.

摘要: This disclosure is related with propeller noise and cavitation abatement in applications like propulsion, ventilation, pumping or turbine systems on liquid or gas fluids working like a propellers, pumps, fans or turbines, by novel techniques that allows a stronger propellers and improves laminar flow and allow a smooth acceleration or deceleration of the liquid or gas by means of a propeller that consist on a rotating cylindrical block with one or more tunnels around it axis, said cylindrical block also may have flow separators structures at both input and output that helps to keep laminar flow of the fluid or gas with it surrounding media, having This rotating cylindrical block tunnels with either circular or irregular oval section that accelerates fluid or gas by means of both combined centrifugal and axial movement.

摘要: ROUND HONEYCOMB ROTOR to improve the performance of conventional propellers being used as rotor for aircraft, motorized pumps, vessels as well as for any use in hydraulic or pneumatic applications. It has helical pieces starting from its cube or circular nucleus and mounted on one or several tubular cylinders which are concentric between them. On the one hand the cylinder with largest diameter will have a conical main piece in order to control and direct centrifugal forces on their way out. On the other hand helical pieces come together shaping helical trapezoids which are fitted one onto the other giving the whole thing a round honeycomb shape. The outer perimeters are totally closed down allowing the combination of all centrifugal forces improving over ten times the performance of conventional propellers in any of the already mentioned applications.

摘要: A ribbon drive propulsion apparatus and method for water-borne vessels such as surface craft and submersibles is disclosed. The vessel is equipped with an extended tube having an intake at a first end and an outlet at a second end. A ribbon formed of helical coils is mounted in the tube for rotation and the frequency of the coils decreases from the first end to the second end of the tube. Water is collected at the first end, an axial component of momentum of the water is increased via the rotating ribbon, and the water is ejected from the second end to provide propulsion to the vessel.
