    摘要: A closed loop system utilizing a solar refrigerant turbocharger and pump in conjunction with a solar collector to operate a heating and cooling system for a building by utilization of a renewable energy source. The liquid pump within the solar turbocharger is used to boost the refrigerant pressures into the solar collector, the refrigerant absorbs heat inside the solar collector and changes phase from a liquid to a vapor. The vapor is expanded across the turbine causing the turbine to spin. The ability of the refrigerant to change phase or flash from a liquid to a vapor is due to the solar energy that is transferred from evacuated tubes into the solar collector manifold and into the refrigerant. The gas is routed to the solar turbo pump turbine to drive the compressor and liquid pump. The resulting fluid gas leaving the turbine is routed to the condenser for normal operation.

    摘要: Transforming any heat sources to electric power, comprising a closed-cycle charged refrigerant loop. Low-pressure refrigerant fluid is pumped at 10 to 15 degrees F. higher of the ambient temperature through a heat exchanger heated by the heat of the gas outlet from the expander then to the boiler (heat exchanger) to boil the refrigerant liquid into a high-pressure and high temperature superheated by a few deg. F. gas (depending on the kind of refrigerant). Heated/pressurized refrigerant gas is inlet into an expander to power an output shaft during the expansion of the pressurized to a cooled gas. Cooled gaseous refrigerant with still high temperature is inlet to small heat exchanger to heat up the pumped liquid refrigerant before inlet to the boiler. The lowered temperature gas is condensed in condenser to liquid at low pressure and 10 to 15 degrees F. higher of ambient temperature media, and recycled by a pump to the heat exchangers. The refrigerant gas mass flow pressure drop spins the expander shaft for direct mechanical power take-off, or coupling to a synchronous or inductive generator to produce electricity. The electricity can be used locally, stored or fed to the grid.

    摘要: Geothermal power generating system in which turbine/generators are driven by hot gases and energy from a geothermal source. Both terrestrial and marine embodiments are disclosed and, in some embodiments, include a support structure positioned above a source of geothermal energy, one or more turbine/generators suspended from the support structure by a deployment system that can move the turbine/generators toward and away from a source of geothermal energy, heat sensors on the turbine/generators for sensing heat from the geothermal energy source, a control system responsive to the heat sensors for activating the deployment system to move the turbine/generators away from the geothermal energy source if the heat from the geothermal energy source becomes too great. Some embodiments also have a containment housing which extends to a fuel source release point in the floor of a body of water, encloses the turbine/generator, and funnels gas from the release point to the turbine/generator.

    摘要: A solar thermal power system includes a solar receiver and a thermal energy storage arrangement including thermal energy storage fluid to be circulated through the solar receiver to store thermal energy. The system includes a multistage steam turbine operable on variable pressure steam generated by primary and secondary arrangements, by utilizing the fluid. The primary arrangement generates and supplies a high pressure steam to a high pressure turbine inlet, and exits from a high pressure turbine outlet. The secondary arrangement having a reheat assembly, to generate an intermediate pressure steam from the fluid, received from the storage arrangement through the reheat assembly. The intermediate pressure steam and released steam from a high pressure turbine outlet are mixed and reheated in the reheat assembly to be supplied to an intermediate pressure turbine inlet.
