The pallet has a rectangular shape in a plan view, and has a bottom board, a support board arranged opposite the bottom board across a predetermined distance, and a plurality of beams fixed to the support board and the bottom board. The sleeve is made of a cardboard sheet in a cornered-column shape, and is placed over the pallet to wrap a side surface of a crated object placed on the support board. The top board has a rectangular shape, and is placed on a top end part of the sleeve. With the fastening belts, the pallet and the crated object are fastened together and the pallet, the sleeve, and the top board are fastened together.

A plurality of support members support the load with a clearance space between the support members and the ground. The support members are removably attached to the two elongated members. An adjusting mechanism adjusts the support members relative to the two elongated members to lower the support members toward the ground and reduce the clearance space between the support members and the ground.

A bracket is bent at an angle to fit against the two vertical sides of the pallet which form the corner, and the bracket extends above the load supporting surface of the pallet. A corner plate attached to the inside of the bracket lies against the top of the load supporting surface and forms with the inside of the bracket a three-sided mounting for a corner post. Two attachment wings are attached to the bracket and extend one along each of the vertical sides which form the corner and in a direction away from the corner. Hook-formed elements extend from each wing inwardly beneath the load supporting surface and generally perpendicular to its respective vertical side, each hook-formed element engaging a side of the corner foot of the pallet which lies at an angle to its respective vertical side. The hook-formed element of at least one attachment wing is movable out from its position perpendicular to its respective vertical side to facilitate assembling the corner post support onto the pallet.

摘要： A wood reinforced corrugated paperboard shipping container with interlocking pallet to direct positioning of the container on the pallet and to interlock the container with the pallet. The pallet includes longitudinal runners and cross members. At least one cross member overhangs the side of a lower runner. The overhang portion of the cross member and the side of the runner together define a recess which receives an attaching strip that is connected to a lowermost portion of the wall of the container. In placing the container on the pallet, a beveled upper surface on the overhang portion of the cross member bears against the bottom surface of the attaching strip. The attaching strip thereby moves downwardly and out to move around the outside end of the overhang portion of the cross member and the back into the recess, thereby matingly interlocking the container to the pallet.
