    Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel leaf and debris catcher device for catching leaves and other debris blown into and around corners of a home, fence, garage, and more, due to strong winds and other weather and seasonal conditions. The device has a mesh screen around the side surfaces and the bottom surface and has an open top surface from where the leaves and other debris are blown into the device. The device is portable, biodegradable, and can be folded when not in use. The device has a plurality of poles that enable freestanding of the catcher device which can be placed indoors or outdoors. The leaves and debris collected inside the device can be easily collected for disposal via a reusable mesh trash bag.

    Abstract: To aid in the spontaneous opening of closed garbage bags deposited in landfills, a biodegradable bag tie made from plant sources is described. The preparation of the tie material includes hydrolysis with an acidic, enzymatic, or basic aqueous solution, combined with microwave exposure, to make the strip amenable to rapid digestion by microorganisms indigenous to landfill environments. The strips may then be tied by knotting around the open end of the polyethylene garbage bag or by joining the two ends of the strip with double-sided adhesive tape. In this way, the closed tie is digested soon after deposition of the bag in a landfill, thereby also exposing its contents to local aerobic bacteria and fungi.

    Abstract: The invention includes a collapsible container that is particularly useful for lawn debris. The container includes a bottom panel and multiple side panels including a plurality of fold lines that allow the side panels to collapse. When the side panels are collapsed, they are positioned adjacent to the bottom panel and the container is substantially flat. At least part of the bottom panel is exposed when the side panels are collapsed. In use, debris may be swept, raked or otherwise placed onto the collapsed container. When the desired amount of debris has been accumulated, the sides of the container can be raised to contain the debris.

    Abstract: The Trash Tower has several unique features; the way the Trash Tower Base and the Trash Tower Lid interact is also of a unique nature. The interlocking flap-design of the Trash Tower Lid works in such a way as to secure the Trash Tower Lid onto the Trash Tower Base and keep the Trash Tower Liner in place. Additionally, the bottom of the base is also of a unique design because it is bottomless and this allows the base to be pulled over the full liner, so that the liner does not break when being lifted out of the base. This design is the whole of my invention and is unique unto itself.

    Abstract: A receptacle has a substantially flat sheet having a perimeter edge, a plurality of loops positioned adjacent the perimeter edge of the substantially flat sheet, and at least two strings coupled thereto. Each of the at least two strings has a first end and a second end so that when the first string is threaded through the plurality of loops, the first string first end is coupled to the first string second end or to the substantially flat sheet adjacent one another. Furthermore, when the second string is threaded through the plurality of loops the second string first end is coupled to the second string second end or to the substantially flat sheet adjacent one another. In various embodiments, the first string can be pulled relative to the second string to cause the perimeter edge to cinch forming a receptacle with an opening defined by the perimeter edge.
