Abstract:
A multi-slot closed type powerful garbage compression structure including a housing, an inner cylinder internally provided with guide plates and being inclined forwardly, and a push bar behind the inner cylinder. The housing is provided with four slots at a rear section adapted to receive garbage, and a garbage outlet at a front end, the outlet being provided with a slide plate, and a waste water receiving trough at a bottom side. When garbage is dumped into the housing via the slots, the push bar rotates to push the garbage into the inner cylinder which rotates to compress the garbage. When the garbage inside the inner cylinder is full, the push bar may prevent reverse flow of the garbage. By the use of both the push bar and the guide plates inside the inner cylinder, better compression effects are achievable to reduce garbage storage space and eliminate use of hydraulic cylinders and thrust devices.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a waste collecting device having a container for receiving waste therein. The container has an end wall and an ejector panel. The container encloses a waste receiving volume. The ejector panel has an opening therethrough for allowing access to the waste receiving volume for receiving the waste. The waste collecting device further has a compactor outside the waste receiving volume being operable for pushing the waste in the container through the opening. The ejector panel is movable within the waste receiving volume and relative to a floor of the container for pushing the waste out of the waste receiving volume. A method of operating a waste collecting device is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A container for the working and transportation of food product waste is disclosed. The container includes a shell configured for removable disposition within a refuse collection vehicle. The shell includes an opening for receiving product, and a cover for sealing the opening except when open to permit product to be added to container. The cover may be operably connected to a lift and invert mechanism on the refuse collection vehicle for coordinated operation. A separation floor is disposed within the container to facilitate separation of liquid and solid constituents within the container. A working and transfer mechanism is disposed within the container to work food product waste prior to delivery of same to a processing facility, and to facilitate removal of the worked food product waste from the container through an output port of the container as part of the delivery of same.
Abstract:
A garbage processing vehicle includes a rotational fermentation drum device which is disposed on a loading platform of a vehicle, for mixing garbage with aerobic microorganisms and air in a rotational drum and providing conditions favorable to fermentation. By processing the garbage in a vehicle, device installation space can be saved and the garbage can be processed during transportation. Exhaust heat of the vehicle's engine is conducted to a peripheral space of the drum and air sucked from the periphery of the engine is supplied to the inside of the drum to promote fermentation.
Abstract:
A rotary drum-type collecting vessel for receiving and transporting refuse or other bulk material, comprises, a hollow rotary collecting drum having an inside wall, and includes an opening at one end which is covered by a cover plate which covers the opening and has a frusto conical interior surface which projects into the collecting drum. The frusto conical surface terminates in a frustum plane within the drum. It includes a lower portion with a charge opening and it carries a spirally extending feed blade on its surface with pushing elements in the form of ribs defined therealong and rotating therewith so as to force bulk material in an action, such as by a raking worm, into the collecting drum. The material is also pressed therein by an action such that by a thrust worm in a zone between the inside wall of the rotary drum and the frustum plane. The pushing element ribs extend from the upper vertex point of the frusto conical surface up to over the entire charge opening at the inside plane of the surface and enlarging radially to such an extent so as to keep the outer bore uniformly spaced from the ribs. An additional compressing means is associated with the drum and they are effective in the zone of the frustum plane and are advantageously comprised of a spiral screw which is attached to the inside plane of the frustum. The screw may be firmly attached to the frustum of the cover or it may be arranged on the inside plane of the frustum and driven by its separate drive. The direction of rotation is advantageously opposite to that of the rotation of the frustum surface.
Abstract:
Apparatus for treating refuse comprising a drum rotatable about an axis that is horizontal or slightly inclined to the horizontal and having an inlet at one end and an outlet at the other end, and means within the drum for effecting a pulverizing action upon refuse fed into the drum; the curved wall of the drum being frusto-conical at the inlet end so as to taper inwardly in the direction towards the inlet from the outlet, and there being, within the inlet end portion of the drum, baffles rotatable with the drum for receiving refuse fed into the drum through the inlet and for feeding this refuse, during rotation of the drum, in the direction towards the outlet of the drum.
