摘要： A sorting conveyor system (46) comprising a main conveyor line (48) intersected by cross conveyors (18) having roller-top conveyor belts (20). The roller-top conveyor belts, which can be driven bidirectionally perpendicular to the conveying direction of the main conveyor line, have article-supporting belt rollers (22) that can rotate freely in the main conveying direction (14). Articles (38) fed from the main conveying line onto the cross conveyor can be sorted to the left or the right by the conveyor belt. Articles destined for sorting downstream pass over the stopped roller-top conveyor belt atop the freely rotatable belt rollers and back onto the main conveyor line. A booster (40), such as a motorized roller (40), between the main conveyor line and the cross conveyor applies a force in the main conveying direction against articles destined to cross the cross conveyor.

摘要： A right angle transfer device has a conveying surface defined by a plurality of conveying members that are driven to convey objects in a conveyance direction. A diverting conveying member is mounted to a frame and is driven to divert objects in a direction angled away from the conveyance direction. A lift drive rotates a cam to move a bar in a substantially horizontal direction. The movement of the bar causes a frame link connected to the bar and the frame to raise and lower the frame. Once the frame has been moved upward to a sufficient extent, the diverting conveying member will be raised above the conveying members to come into contact with the object to thereby move and divert the object away from the conveyance direction.

摘要： To develop a transfer device which has a lower overall height than that of a conventional technology. A transfer device 1 includes a main conveying unit 3 equipped with main conveying bodies 82, a sub conveying unit 2 equipped with sub conveying bodies 14, a lifting and lowering mechanism 4 which lifts and lowers the main conveying unit 3 and the sub conveying unit 2 such that the respective units 3 and 2 are located at different positions in the up-down direction, and a motor 5 which operates the lifting and lowering mechanism 4. A planar position of the motor 5 resides in a planar area overlapping with the main conveying bodies 82 and the sub conveying bodies 14. A position of the motor 5 in the height direction is set such that a part or the whole of the motor 5 is located above a height of a lower end of a rotational track or a traveling track of any one of the conveying bodies 82 and 14 in a lowered state of any one of the conveying units 3 and 2. This structure can reduce the overall height of the transfer device 1 in a state that the motor 5 is disposed within the transfer device 1.
