The conveyor system can accommodate structural members such as roof truss members, on which connector plates are affixed and from which the connector plates protrude vertically up, down, or both. The conveyor system may have a slide or some other support for the objects. The slide or other support may be narrow. The slide or other support can be tall, relative to an object. The conveyor system may have an engagement tool driven by an overhead carriage to translate the objects along the slide or other support. The engagement tool may be narrow. The engagement tool can be tall, relative to an object.

    摘要: Embodiments provide an electric lug loader system. An electric lug loader may include a shaft assembly rotatably mounted to a frame that extends across a flow path. The shaft assembly may have shafts arranged radially around, and parallel to, the rotational axis of the shaft assembly, clamp members arranged along each of the shafts, support members arranged radially around the rotational axis and across the flow path, and electric drives coupled to the shafts. Conveyors may be coupled with the frame and spaced apart across the flow path upstream and/or downstream of the shaft assembly. Additional drives may be coupled with the shaft assembly and the conveyors. A controller may be configured to synchronize the drives to engage successive workpieces between the clamp members and the support members and deposit the workpieces onto a lugged conveyor. Other embodiments provide related methods and systems.

    摘要: A device for braking advancing packages being transferred on a conveyer including a pair of rubber tubes of a predetermined length having flat surfaces, the tubes being inflated toward the packages being conveyed so that the tubes interpose and stop the packages. The pair of rubber tubes can be inflated so that they expand in an upwardly inclined direction in order to slightly lift the packages above the conveyer surface. Each of the rubber tubes are provided along the conveyer and are inflated with air. In addition each rubber tube has a flat braking surface, a reinforcing part at the back of the braking surface for maintaining the flatness of the braking surface, attaching wall part and a hollow section between the braking surface and the attaching wall part so that the rubber tube is normally small and narrow, but can be enlarged when inflated with air.

    摘要: Apparatus for feeding cylindrical containers (cans) to a rotary filling machine having a turntable with a plurality of work stations (can stations) spaced around its border. Signal producing devices, such as cone-jet sensors, are provided to produce gate operating signals each time an inactive (malfunctioning) work station passes the signal producing device. The container feed apparatus includes a conveyor which receives containers into an elongated section wherein the containers form two parallel rows confined between parallel sides from which they pass into a funnel section wherein the containers form a single file and discharge sequentially to the infeed of a worm which delivers the containers sequentially to a transfer mechanism (star wheel) which transfers the containers to the work stations. A gate incorporated at the discharge end of the funnel section closes and opens to prevent containers from being fed to the inactive work station. The upper run of a conveyor belt supports and advances the containers through the container feed apparatus and preferably also removes the filled containers from the filling machine. When the gate is closed the containers in the elongated section between the parallel sides create a compresion spring-like force which is transmitted through the containers in the funnel section to the container at the gate. When the gate opens this force propels the lead container to the worm infeed thereby allowing the apparatus to operate at a faster speed than it otherwise would.
