    摘要: A fly stripping mechanism for stripping sheet-like objects such as printed material from a rotating fly assembly having a plurality of fly pockets is disclosed. A cam adjacent the fly assembly remains stationary as the fly assembly rotates. A lever is disposed adjacent each fly pocket and is also pivotally mounted to the fly assembly. A cam follower is connected to each lever. As the fly assembly rotates, the cam follower follows the contour of the cam. The contour of the cam slows the rotation of the cam followers relative to the rotational speed of the fly assembly. The slowed rotation of the cam followers in turn causes an end portion of the lever to move from a position adjacent a rearward portion of the fly pocket toward a forward portion of the fly pocket, thereby ejecting printed material from the fly pocket. A method of ejecting sheet-like objects such as printed material from a fly pocket by moving a portion of a lever from a position adjacent a rearward portion of the fly pocket toward a forward portion of the fly pocket is also disclosed.

    摘要: There is provided a document processing device and a document processing method capable of aligning and loading documents being transported surely and at a high speed. The document processing device includes: a document inverter for inverting a transport direction of documents being transported; a first guide that is provided in nearly the same direction as the transport direction positions document stacked layers when stacking documents inverted by the document inverter; a second guide that is provided to further tilt at a predetermined angle than orthogonal angle to the transport direction and capable of guiding the transported documents in the first guiding means direction, positions document stacked layers when stacking documents inverted by the document inverting means in conjunction with the first guiding means; and a holder for loading and holding the documents positioned and stacked by the first guide and the second guide. The second guide is constituted by a flat transported document abutting surface capable of making ends of the documents being transported slide down in a positioned state.

A separating portion is provided between the carrying-out portion and the conveying portion, and is rotatable about a rotation fulcrum. The separating portion has an end portion separably contacts the carrying-out portion to separate the medium therefrom. The separating portion includes a first guiding portion rotatably provided for guiding the medium separated from the carrying-out portion to the conveying portion. The first guiding portion is provided between the carrying-out portion and the conveying portion, and has a rotation center located on the carrying-out portion side with respect to the rotation fulcrum. When a straight line is defined by connecting contact areas of the carrying-out portion and the conveying portion, the rotation center is located on the straight line side with respect to the rotation fulcrum.
