摘要: A method of winding an elastomeric yarn, such as spandex, onto a spool includes the steps of providing a spool; providing an elastomeric yarn; rotating the spool at a speed to define a spool rotation speed; moving the yarn traversely with respect to the spool in an alternating to and fro manner to define a traverse frequency; winding the yarn onto the spool; controlling the ratio of the spool rotation speed to the traverse frequency to define a wind ratio during the winding of the yarn onto the spool; and decreasing the traverse speed as the yarn is wound onto the spool in an inverse proportion to an amount of yarn that has been wound. The winding of the yarn onto the spool forms a yarn cake on the spool. The traverse speed may be decreased in inverse proportion to a diameter of the yarn cake. The method may further include the step of shifting the yarn by a pitch for each rotation of the spool.

摘要: To provide a traverse-motion mechanism capable of easing the threading operation by reducing the heights of the yarn-separating fulcrum and the godet roller disposed upstream of a yarn-traversing fulcrum, of reducing times required for the manufacturing and assembling operation by simplifying the structure due to the reduction of the overall machine height, of minimizing the rise of selvage and ribbon wind generated in a package, and of readily adjusting the position of yarn turning point. A traversing unit 6-1 disposed at one end of the traverse-motion mechanism is offset from a regular position toward another traversing unit 6-4 so that a straight line connecting the opposite traverse ends (A) and (B) in the traversing unit 6-1 with each other is not parallel to an axis of a touch roller 7. In the traversing unit 6-1, three blades 15-1 through 15-3 are fixed on a first rotor 13 and two blades 20-1 and 20-2 are fixed on a second rotor 18 at equiangular positions in a rotary plane thereof, while the rotary centers of the first and second rotors 13, 18 are defined so that a rotary angle of the respective rotor, through which the yarn is conveyed by one blade on the one rotor while being in contact with the yarn-guiding surface 23 until released therefrom, is about 60.degree. in the first rotor 13 and 90.degree. in the second rotor 18 and a rotational ratio of the first rotor 13 relative to the second rotor 18 is 2:3.

摘要: A method and apparatus for the reeling of a ribbon-like or filamentary material fed to a bobbin winder and wound up in cross winding with precision winding provides for the integrals of the angular velocity (impulses) of the bobbin to be recorded by a first sensor and the integrals of the angular velocity of the drive for the traversing thread guide by a second sensor, the sums of the integrals of the angular velocity to be compared with each other and the drive for the traversing thread guide to be regulated depending on this. The impulses of the first sensor are added in a first allocated counter and the impulses of the second sensor in a second allocated counter during the entire winding operation. The ratio of the sums produced in this way are constantly compared with one or more successively preselectable bobbin ratios and the drive for the traversing thread guide is regulated in such a way that the ratio of the sums of the two allocated counters corresponds to the predefined bobbin ratio or ratios, respectively, during the entire winding operation.

摘要: A yarn winding method and resulting yarn package are disclosed, and wherein the yarn is wound onto a supporting tubular core by a traversing yarn guide and in accordance with either a random wind or a stepped precision wind. In each case, the winding is begun with the traversing speed having a predetermined initial mean value, and the mean value is then increased from the initial mean value to a predetermined maximum mean value, and such that the maximum value is reached when a predetermined base layer having a thickness (SB) of no more than about 10% of the total yarn layer thickness (S) of the finished yarn package is produced. The predetermined maximum value may be maintained during the remainder of the winding operation, and in addition, the circumferential speed of the package may be reduced during the initial increasing of the mean value of the traversing speed, and such that the winding speed and tension of the yarn remain substantially constant.

摘要: A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WINDING ENDLESS YARNS ON A SPOOL IS DISCLOSED, THE METHOD AND APPARATUS PROVIDING A WINDING HAVING A CONSTANT WINDING RATIO, I.E., A SOCALLED "PRECISION WINDING," WHEREIN THE NUMBER OF SPOOL REVOLUTIONS PER THREAD-GUIDE STROKE IN A CROSS WINDING ARRANGEMENT REMAINS CONSTANT. THE INVENTIVE METHOD AND APPARATUS IS APPLICABLE FOR WINDING AN ENDLESS YARN FED AT A CONSTANT SPEED ONTO A SPOOL DRIVEN AT ITS CIRCUMFERENCE BY A DRIVE CYLINDER. THE THREAD IS FED TO THE SPOOL VIA A GROOVED DRUM OR A THREAD-GUIDE OPERATED BY A GROOVED DRUM. THE DRIVE CYLINDER IS DRIVEN IN KNOWN MANNER AT A CONSTANT SPEED. YET, THE GROOVED DRUM ITSELF IS DRIVEN IN DEPENDENCE UPON AND AS A FUNCTION OF THE NUMBER OF ROTATIONS OF THE YARN SPOOL OR THE DIAMETER OF THE YARN SPOOL AND THUS A CONSTANT WINDING RATIO IS MAINTAINED.
