    摘要: Disclosed is aramid tire cord and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the aramid tire cord has superior properties on initial modulus change rate, tensile strain, initial modulus and strength retention rate, wherein the initial modulus change rate is not more than 5% after the aramid tire cord is repetitively extended 10 times at 120° C. under the condition that the load corresponding to 10% of the strength at break is applied thereto. Thus, the aramid tire cord of the present invention has the most optimal modulus, optimal crystallization constant and optimal crystalline orientation constant so that the aramid tire cord is superior in its initial modulus change rate, tensile strain and initial modulus retention rate, to thereby obtain good fatigue resistance. Thus, if the aramid tire cord of the present invention is used for a tire-reinforcing material, it is possible to obtain high traveling performance by preventing the property deterioration during the high-speed traveling with repetitively-occurring sequence of high temperature and high pressure.

    摘要: Disclosed is a fiber made of a polyester resin, wherein the polyester resin is a copolymer including a dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component; of the dicarboxylic acid component, 80 mol % or more is accounted for by a terephthalic acid component, 4.0 to 12.0 mol % is accounted for by a cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid component, and 2.0 to 8.0 mol % is accounted for by an adipic acid component; and the glycol component contains an ethylene glycol component as a main component thereof. A polyester fiber is thereby provided which can be dyed with excellent deep color property and fastness property in dyeing under a normal pressure environment and which can offer stable quality and processing performance also by a direct spinning stretching method or other general melt-spinning methods.

    摘要: The invention relates to an improvement in a process for the production of carbon fibres (also filaments and films) from organic material consisting mainly of hydrocarbons (e.g., pitch, tars, solutions or extracts of coal). The organic material is spun or extruded to form a fibre, oxidized to stabilize it to heat treatment and subsequently carbonized. The invention comprises employing in place of, or as, the organic material consisting mainly of hydrocarbons a modified organic material formed by reacting an aromatic hydrocarbon material having at least two fused rings (which may be such an organic material consisting mainly of hydrocarbons) with a cross-linking agent, the cross-linking agent having at least two groups selected from groups that react with and substitute onto aromatic hydrocarbon rings. Suitable groups include acyl chloride, alkyl chloride, carboxylic acid anhydride, olefin, and alcoholic hydroxyl groups.

The process includes passing the tow through at least one slot venturi spreader in which the tow is pulled through the spreader in a direction opposite to the direction of primary air flow through the venturi. For certain purposes use is made of first and second spreader units. Each of these units may have at least two side-by-side rows of slot venturies and at least two stacked modules arranged in modular array, whereby to process a plurality of tow bundles simultaneously.

    摘要: A jet device for forwarding textile filamentary materials having a flow restrictor added to its inlet end. The restrictor is a housing having a chamber in communication with the jet inlet at one end and atmosphere at the other. The chamber has a plurality of pairs of flexible blades arranged within to form a labyrinthlike space within the chamber. This arrangement functions to effectively enlarge the yarn passage through the jet permitting passage of yarn defects without excessive loss of air from the jet.

    摘要: A fluid jet apparatus for receiving a ribbon of parallel continuous filaments, then heating and spreading the filaments for deposit on a moving surface as a nonwoven web includes an adjustable diffuser connected to the outlet end of the jet. The diffuser comprises a pair of spaced plates, adjustable with respect to each other, mounted to the outlet end of the jet. The plates are arranged to form aspiration slots at one end between the jet and the plates. The slots open into a central converging passage formed by the plates for confining and diverting gas out the open sides of the diffuser. The particular structural arrangement of the plates with respect to the jet permits development of static pressure in the diffuser which in turn causes a large percentage of jet fluid to exit from the open edges of the diffuser, generally parallel to the moving laydown surface, while less fluid accompanies the filaments to the laydown surface to reduce web disturbance.
