摘要: The road milling machine according to the invention comprises a cleaning device which has a cleaning unit arranged in front of the work roller in the working direction. The cleaning unit ensures that the surface of the terrain over which the wheels or running gears travel is clear of material. As a result, an optimum milling result is always achieved. The invention takes effect in particular when using small millers which have at least one rear wheel or running gear which can be moved into an inner working position in relation to a longitudinal side of the machine frame and into an outer working position in relation to a longitudinal side of the machine frame. In this preferred embodiment, the cleaning device comprises a pivot device which is designed in such a way that the cleaning unit can be moved into an inner working position in relation to a longitudinal side of the machine frame and into an outer working position in relation to a longitudinal side of the machine frame. In the inner or outer working position, the cleaning unit is arranged on the same track as the rear wheel or running gear which can be moved into the inner or outer working position. This ensures that the track of the rear wheel or running gear is clear of milled material or other dirt, wherein the cleaning unit does not protrude too far beyond the rear wheel or running gear.

摘要: A high efficiency dust controlling gutter broom apparatus comprises a mounting arm, and a gutter broom having a mounting structure and bristles depending from the mounting structure. The gutter broom is mounted via the mounting structure in supported relation on the mounting arm for rotation about a gutter broom axis. A gutter broom motor rotates the gutter broom about the gutter broom axis. A shroud has a roof portion and a wall portion depending from the roof portion. The shroud is mounted in supported relation on the mounting arm such that the roof portion covers at least a rear portion of the mounting structure of the gutter broom and the wall portion covers at least a rear portion of the bristles of the gutter broom. An air-flow precluding member is secured to the gutter broom for rotation therewith, to thereby substantially obstruct air flow through the gutter broom.

摘要: A pick-up head for a mobile sweeping vehicle comprises a housing defining a substantially hollow interior and a suctioning bottom opening for suctioning dust and small debris. A suctioning front opening is disposed in the front of the housing for receiving debris into the substantially hollow interior of the housing. A door is mounted on the pick-up head for selectively opening and closing the suctioning front opening. A dust and debris outlet in the housing permits dust and debris to be suctioned from the substantially hollow interior. A gutter broom is mounted within the housing adjacent one end, for sweeping dust and small debris inwardly from the selected one of the left end and the right end and towards the dust and debris outlet. An opening in the housing at the selected end permits the gutter broom to extend beyond the end of the housing, thus allowing the gutter broom to sweep against a curb, for sweeping dust and small debris towards a central path. A selectively operable motor is for operating the first gutter broom.

摘要: The invention provides debris collection devices that include a debris contacting mechanism, a debris transport mechanism that is configured to receive debris moved by the debris contacting mechanism at an inlet and move such debris towards a debris storage compartment, and a filter and vacuum assembly. The filter and vacuum assembly includes an inlet disposed downstream of the inlet of the transport mechanism and upstream of the debris storage compartment, relative to the path of transported debris. In operation, the filter and vacuum assembly generate a primary air flow that draws the airborne particles into the inlet of the transport mechanism, along a path proximate to the transport mechanism, into the inlet of the filter and vacuum assembly and though a filter located within the filter and vacuum assembly without generating a substantial airflow through the storage compartment. Related debris collection and processing systems and methods also are provided.

摘要: An apparatus for automated sweeping of debris from pavement surfaces is provided with a rigid housing, paired roller brooms rotatably mounted transversely within the housing parallel in relation to each other such that the right end of the forward roller broom, as from the position of an operator of the apparatus, rotates clockwise and the right end of the rearward roller broom, from the same viewpoint, operates counterclockwise. A debris outlet for exit of debris from inside the housing to the exterior thereof is provided along with an auger conveyor for focusing movement of debris between the housing and the rearward roller broom toward the debris outlet. A plurality of support wheels are rotatably attached to the housing and welded connections are provided for attaching the apparatus to a prime mover to permit propulsion of the apparatus along the surface to be swept, as well as for transport of the apparatus. Inside the housing are provided a deflection shield to deflect debris thrown upward by the forward roller broom toward the second roller broom, a reinforcing plate to protect the housing from contact by the brush bristles of the second roller broom and a berm builder to enhance movement of debris through the apparatus.
