摘要： A door system includes a support connected to a structure, and a door mounted on the support and movable relative to the support between an opened position and a closed position. The door includes a detection device and a remote module coupled to the detection device. The remote module includes a battery and an RF module for supporting two-way communication and sending signals indicative of the status of the detection device and the battery. The door system also includes a motor to drive the door, and a controller to control the motor. The controller includes a user interface and a memory. The door system also includes a base module coupled to the controller for receiving signals from the remote module. The received signals are indicative of the status of the detection device and the battery. The base module also sends signals related to successful transmission acknowledgements to the remote module.

摘要： An uninterruptible power source (UPS) for supplying power to a barrier operator when mains power has failed is disclosed. The UPS includes a UPS controller for detecting and responding to a mains power failure and capable of generating a plurality of control signals. A backup power source and an up-converter is connected to the UPS controller, wherein the up-converter increases the voltage of the backup power source when needed. A switch is responsive to one of the plurality of control signals of the UPS controller and toggles the operator barrier between the up-converter and the mains power source, and awakens the operator via a standby receiver power line. Another embodiment awakens the operator anytime a UPS receiver receives a preamble of a wireless transmission signal. Auxiliary lighting may also be associated with the UPS and/or photo-electric safety devices.

摘要： If a supply voltage for a motor drops below a predetermined level during movement of a windowpane, a controller of a power window system outputs a stop signal instructing the motor to stop rotating, and stores in a memory a first position and a motion direction of the windowpane derived from a first signal generated by a transducer (signal generator). The controller compares a second position of the windowpane derived from a second signal generated by the transducer when the supply voltage for the motor is restored to the predetermined level or higher with the first position of the windowpane stored in the memory. If the second position is different from the first position, the first position stored in the memory is corrected toward the motion direction by an amount corresponding to a difference between the first and second positions

摘要： A sensing edge is provided for causing a door to open by actuating a device upon force being applied to the sensing edge. The sensing edge includes an elongate outer sheath with a first strip of resiliently compressible material affixed to one of the inner surfaces. A first strip of flexible, electrically conductive material is affixed to the strip of resiliently compressible material. A second strip of flexible, electrically conductive material is supported on the opposite inner surface of the outer sheath. The second strip of conductive material faces the first strip of conductive material, with a space being provided between the first and second strips. The first and second strips of conductive material form a sensor for detection of an external force applied to the sheath, whereby the first strip of resiliently compressible material is adapted to allow displacement of the first strip of flexible, electrically conductive material when the outer sheath is folded for shipping to prevent cracking of the first strip of flexible, electrically conductive material. An L-shaped conduit which is pivotally installed in the upper surface of the outer sheath is also provided, to allow the same sensing edge to be used in left hand or right hand applications.

The door operator includes a motor moving the arm to move the door between a closed position and an open position and between the open position and the closed position. A current sensor generates a current signal corresponding to the current to the motor. A position sensor in communication with the door arm generates a position signal corresponding to the position of the door relative to the frame. A controller communicates with the sensor and the motor. The controller controls a motor current to the motor in response to the current signal and the position signal.

摘要： A console or controller unit for a garage door operator includes a message recording and playback device. The console unit may be wall mounted or configured as a remote transmitter type unit and includes a molded light transmitting switch actuator part mounted on a housing part of the console unit between an outer wall and a circuit board and comprising integrally molded door operator, garage lighting and message record, playback and erase switch actuators. LED indicators provide light for illuminating the switch actuators and for indicating a message waiting and low battery power. The message recording and playback circuitry is electrically isolated from the door operator control circuitry and is battery powered. The message recording and playback device includes a programmable microcontroller for controlling a voice message recording and playback circuit.

摘要： A barrier operator moves a movable barrier using a motive source having a movable member, a station, and first and second flexible members. The station includes a drive system operatively coupled to the movable member of the motive source. The drive system includes input and output members. The first and second flexible members each have first and second ends and a portion extending from the station. The first ends of each flexible members are operatively coupled to the movable barrier and the second ends of each of the flexible members are operatively coupled to the output drive system member of the station. Aspects include the first and second flexible members being cable or wire. Other aspects include the output drive system member of the station being a spool. The drive system further includes a gear box operatively coupled to the spool. Other aspects include the movable barrier being a gate or door. Further aspects include the motive member being a 3-phase alternate current electric motor having a motor shaft as the movable member. The electric motor is supplied with 3-phase electrical power having voltage levels less than 65 volts root mean square. Additional aspects include calibration of fully opened and closed positions of the movable barrier, automatically positioning of the movable barrier by the barrier operator, supplying 0 hertz electrical power to the electric motor for heating based upon a temperature threshold, and control of frequency of the electrical power supplied to the motor based according to a continuous function of barrier position.
