The parts include an insert-receiving part including a passageway, and a flow diverter-effecting insert configured for insertion within the passageway. The flow diverter-effecting insert is co-operatively configured with the insert-receiving part such that a flow diverter is defined while the flow diverter-effecting insert is disposed within the passageway. The flow diverter is configured for: receiving and conducting a reservoir fluid flow; discharging the received reservoir fluid flow into the wellbore such that gaseous material is separated from the discharged reservoir fluid flow within the wellbore, in response to at least buoyancy forces, such that a gas-depleted reservoir fluid flow is obtained; and receiving and conducting the obtained gas-depleted reservoir fluid flow.

    摘要: A pilot valve system including an electrical connector assembly for a subsurface safety valve operated by control fluid pressure from the surface including a pilot valve connected with the control fluid line to the subsurface safety valve and into the well production string immediately above the safety valve to bypass the control fluid pressure directly into the tubing string and dump the control fluid pressure from the subsurface safety valve into the tubing string directly above the valve to minimize the time delay between control fluid pressure reduction and the safety valve closure. The electrical connector assembly includes a male plug assembly for connection on the pilot valve and a female plug assembly mounted in a side pocket mandrel for the pilot valve, such plug assemblies including annular spaced insulated connector rings in the side pocket mandrel and annular spaced insulated spring-type conductors on the male plug assembly for engaging the female plug assembly connector rings when the pilot valve is installed in the side pocket mandrel. Also disclosed is a minimum backlash latch assembly for releasably locking the pilot valve, or other well tools, along a well bore in a receptacle such as a side pocket mandrel.

    摘要: Method and apparatus for altering the downhole flow path of control fluids or the like in oil and gas wells. A downhole side pocket mandrel in a tubing string has interconnected thereto a supply conduit from the surface and a plurality of receiving conduits. Each receiving conduit is connected to a control device. A plurality of different plug assemblies is provided, each for completing within the mandrel pocket when disposed therein a different hydraulic flow path between the supply conduit and one or more receiving conduits. The plug assemblies are insertable into and retrievable from the mandrel pocket by conventional running tools. Any desired control device may thereby be controlled at the surface with a single supply conduit by selection of the proper plug assembly. In a preferred embodiment, the plug assemblies are comprised of a plurality of subplugs which may be interconnected in differing orders to form the desired plug assembly.

    摘要: The present disclosure is directed to a wellbore injection system. The wellbore injection system comprises a capillary fluid flow path positioned in a subsurface wellbore so as to allow fluid communication through the wellbore, the wellbore having a wellbore pressure. A receptacle is in fluid communication with a second fluid flow path that is positioned below the capillary fluid flow path in the wellbore. An injector is attached to a distal end of the capillary fluid flow path, the injector comprising an injector flow path. The injector is capable of being removably attached to the receptacle to provide fluid communication between the capillary fluid flow path and the second fluid flow path through the injector flow path. An isolation mechanism is capable of isolating the capillary fluid flow path from the wellbore pressure when the injector is not attached to the receptacle.
