    摘要: A system for cleaning air flowing into an engine provided with a plurality of sub-blocks. A plurality of air separators arranged in the plurality of sub-blocks, wherein each sub-block includes air separators having a predetermined optimal air flow velocity. At least one rotary louver/shatter is associated with at least one sub-block. A controller is provided to control transitioning of at least one rotary louver/shatter based on a sensed air flow velocity into the engine or on a velocity of the vehicle.

    摘要: A precleaner for use in an air intake system is described, the precleaner comprises a cyclone which defines a volume, the cyclone comprising an inlet and an outlet. The inlet and the outlet are arranged to generate a vortex within the volume of the cyclone when the air pressure at the outlet is lower than the air pressure at the inlet. The cyclone further comprises an aperture. The precleaner further comprises a blocking member arranged to move and concomitantly occlude the aperture only when the air pressure at the outlet is lower than the air pressure at the inlet. An air intake system comprising the precleaner is also disclosed.

    摘要: A centrifugal separator for separating particles from a fluid has a housing with an inflow opening and an outflow opening. Guide blades that generate a turbulent flow in a fluid flowing into the housing through the inlet opening are provided. The guide blades each have a leading edge. The leading edge of a first guide blade has a first spacing to a cross-sectional plane of the housing and the leading edge of a second guide blade has a second spacing relative to the cross-sectional plane of the housing, wherein the cross-sectional plane is perpendicular to an inflow direction of the fluid. The first spacing and the second spacing are different from each other. The first and second guide blades each have a length and the lengths differ from each other. Several centrifugal separators can be combined to a filter device.

    摘要: An air intake system includes a pre-cleaner having a plurality of tubes configured to receive a flow of air, to filter particulate material from the flow of air, and to provide the flow of air to an engine of an off-road vehicle. The system also includes a controller configured to receive a first signal indicative of an air intake flow rate of the engine, to determine a target number of open tubes for the pre-cleaner based at least in part on the air intake flow rate and a desired air flow rate for each tube of the plurality of tubes, and to output a second signal to a component of the air intake system indicative of instructions to enable the flow of air to the target number of open tubes and to block the flow of air to the remainder of tubes of the plurality of tubes.

    摘要: A cyclone separator has a cyclone arrangement with individual cyclones each provided with a cell tube and guide device. The guide device causes a gas stream passing through the cell tube to rotate. At least one particle discharge is positioned perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis of the cyclone separator and discharges separated particles that have been separated from the gas stream in the cyclone arrangement. The cell tubes, for a targeted discharge of the separated particles, each have at least one particle outlet opening that is facing the particle discharge. The particle outlet openings of at least some of the individual cyclones, neighboring each other in the direction of a first perpendicular line that is perpendicular relative to the longitudinal axis of the cyclone separator, are displaced relative to each other in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the cyclone separator.
