    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a vehicle exhaust assembly (1) for an internal combustion engine. The vehicle exhaust assembly (1) comprises an exhaust system (3) and an exhaust mounting assembly (4) for mounting the exhaust system (3) to a vehicle (2). The exhaust system (3) comprises an inlet section (5) for connection to the internal combustion engine; an intermediate section (6) connected to the inlet section (5); an outlet section (7) for exhausting gases from the internal combustion engine; and one or more exhaust decoupler (8) for decoupling the intermediate section (6) from the inlet section (5). The exhaust mounting assembly (4) comprises one or more first isolator device (20-1, 20-2) for resiliently constraining movement of the intermediate section (6) of the exhaust system (3) in a longitudinal direction; and one or more second isolator device (20-3, 20-4) for resiliently constraining movement of the outlet section (7) of the vehicle (2) exhaust in a transverse direction. The present disclosure also relates to a vehicle (2) including a vehicle exhaust assembly (1).

    摘要: A unitary, skid-type sound attenuator assembly for simultaneously managing sound from multiple sources. The assembly may include a dedicated muffler for each sound source. In turn, each of these mufflers includes an outlet for directing sound toward a location such as between the various mufflers of the assembly so as to provide an added level of noise cancellation. Additionally, the assembly may include an attenuator at such a common central location for further noise reduction. The attenuator may also serve a filtering function, for example where the sound sources are engines and the assembly is utilized for managing exhaust therefrom such as in an oilfield environment.

    摘要: An exhaust apparatus for an internal combustion engine wherein an on-off gate valve and a driving source therefor are not required for each bypass pipe. The exhaust apparatus includes a plurality of exhaust pipes extending independently from each other individually from a plurality of exhaust ports. Bypass paths communicate the exhaust pipes with each other in a region wherein the exhaust pipes are independent of each other. The bypass paths are opened or closed to control an exhaust characteristic. A plurality of bypass paths are provided and a bypass joining section at which the bypass paths are joined so as to be positioned in parallel to and in the neighborhood with each other is provided. At the bypass joining section, a single on-off valve that opens and closes the bypass paths simultaneously, and a single actuator for driving the on-off valve to open and close are provided.

The controller 80 is configured to generate a control signal that prompts the at least one actuator disposed in the sound generator 20; 21; 23; 25; 27 to cancel sound inside the at least two exhaust tracts 60, 61 of the vehicle's multi-flow exhaust system at least in part and preferably completely.

    摘要: A venturi muffler is made of a plurality of metallic tubular stepped members which are stacked together and define at least one sound-reflective chamber which opens through an annular venturi passage into an axial flow passage of the venturi muffler thereby creating a partial vacuum in the annular chamber. The annular chambers include aligned openings through which exhaust gasses flow but are also reflected by walls of the sound-reflective chambers. Therefore, the exhaust sound or noise is dampened by the cancellation of sound waves 180 degrees out of phase with each other, the creation of a partial vacuum through which sound cannot propagate or propagates minimally, and by the heat removed by all of the metallic heat-conductive venturi-forming segments of the venturi muffler.

    摘要: A multi-cylinder internal combustion engine capable of decreasing the pressure or temperature of exhaust gas. The internal combustion engine includes at least two cylinders and an exhaust path. The exhaust path includes a convergent-divergent nozzle and an exhaust merging section provided upstream with respect to an upstream end of the divergent section arranged to connect only exhaust ports of combustion chambers for which the opening periods do not overlap. A shock wave propagating in a merging upstream section is branched at a connection section, and the branched shock wave is reflected by an exhaust valve of cylinder and collides against the exhaust gas. In accompaniment with the passage of the exhaust gas having the pressure increased by the shock wave through the convergent-divergent nozzle, a new shock wave propagating in a downstream direction in the exhaust path is generated and also an expansion wave propagating in an upstream direction in the exhaust path is generated. Thus, the temperature and pressure of the exhaust gas are significantly decreased.
