Abstract: A system and method for treating turbine exhaust gas includes an exhaust gas discharge structure, a catalytic exhaust gas treatment device, at least two heat exchangers and a district heating system. The catalytic exhaust gas treatment device is positioned at least partially within the exhaust gas discharge structure. A first heat exchanger is positioned at least partially within the exhaust gas discharge structure and upstream of the catalytic exhaust gas treatment device to remove heat from an exhaust gas by transferring heat to a working fluid. A second heat exchanger is positioned at least partially within the exhaust gas discharge structure downstream of the catalytic exhaust gas treatment device to remove heat from the exhaust gas that has passed though the device by transferring heat to the working fluid. A pump drives the working fluid between the first heat exchanger, the district heating system and the second heat exchanger.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a prime mover system. More specifically, this disclosure relates to a prime mover exhaust system that can prevent the accumulation of debris (e.g., soot or unburned fuel) in the prime mover system. In accordance with at least one embodiment described and recited herein, a self-cleaning prime mover exhaust system is provided. The prime mover exhaust system includes an exhaust tip, an exhaust pipe, and a cleaning tube. The exhaust tip is configured to eject exhaust out of the prime mover exhaust system, the exhaust pipe is configured to direct the exhaust away from a prime mover, and the cleaning tube is configured to accumulate debris exiting from the exhaust pipe and configured to vacuum the debris out of the self-cleaning prime mover exhaust system through the exhaust tip using the Venturi effect.

Abstract: A work vehicle such as a tractor including a cooling fan (12a) arranged in front of the vehicle's engine main body (1), and is configured to feed air to the engine main body. The work vehicle further includes a DPF (19), which is arranged on one side of the engine main body and purifies exhaust gas exhausted from the engine main body, and an engine hood (7), which covers the engine main body, the cooling fan, and the DPF. An outside air intake port (21) is formed in both side surfaces of the engine hood at a position further forward than the cooling fan. On both side surfaces of the engine hood, a first opening (30) capable of exhausting air inside the engine hood in a direction away from the vehicle's operation seat in side view is formed in a position facing the DPF in the lateral direction.

Abstract: An exhaust aftertreatment system includes a first catalytic converter, an oxidation catalyst including a storage catalyst, an air injector, and a cooling unit. The exhaust aftertreatment system is fluidly coupled to an output of a spark-ignited internal combustion engine that operates in the rich regime during acceleration and the lean regime during deceleration. In one aspect, the storage catalyst stores ammonia produced while the engine operates in the rich regime. The stored ammonia reacts with nitrogen oxide compounds produced when the engine operates in the lean regime. In another aspect, the nitrogen oxide compounds react with ammonia produced while the engine operates in the rich regime.

Abstract: A control system is provided for thermal management of an aftertreatment device in an engine that is provided in an enclosure. The engine has a cooling fan that is operable in a first direction to cool said engine. The fan is also operable in a reverse direction opposite to the first direction. The control system includes a first temperature sensor that measures a temperature of the engine or the enclosure. The control system further includes a second temperature sensor that measures a temperature of the aftertreatment device. The control system also includes a processor that is coupled to the first and second temperature sensors. The processor is configured to issue control signals, based on whether regeneration is required by the aftertreatment device or not, for selectively controlling a direction of operation associated with the cooling fan.

Abstract: The present application provides a selective catalyst reduction system for use with a combustion gas stream. The selective catalyst reduction system may include a tempering air system with a finger mixer and a number of mixing boxes positioned downstream of the finger mixer and a catalyst positioned downstream of the tempering air system. The tempering air system cools the combustion gas stream and evens out the temperature profile before the combustion gas stream reaches the catalyst.

Abstract: An exhaust system is for a marine propulsion device having an internal combustion engine. A catalyst housing has a housing inlet end that receives an exhaust gas flow from the internal combustion engine into the catalyst housing and an opposite, housing outlet end that discharges the exhaust flow out of the catalyst housing. A catalyst is disposed in the catalyst housing. The catalyst has a catalyst inlet end that receives the exhaust gas flow and an opposite, catalyst outlet end that discharges the exhaust gas flow. A catalyst mantel is on an outer periphery of the catalyst. The catalyst mantel has a mantel inlet end and an opposite, mantel outlet end. A radial flange is on at least one of the mantel outlet end and mantel inlet end. A connector mates with an inner diameter of the catalyst housing. The radially extending flange of the catalyst mantel is axially sandwiched between the connector and a radially inner shoulder of the catalyst housing.
