The characteristic is assigned with an identifying variable, in a disclosed embodiment voltage, which increases. As this variable increases, possible errors due to system features will also increase. Thus, the possibility of the control misreading an identification code due to the error increases. To address this increasing possibility, the distance between adjacent variables also increases as the variables themselves increase. In a preferred embodiment the distance is increased proportionally.

    摘要: An electronic engine power control system is disclosed for a motor vehicle wherein a measuring arrangement is utilized for determining the position of an actuating element. The measuring arrangement is configured in such a manner that it has different resolutions in various ranges of the position of the actuating element. The open-loop or closed-loop control of the position of the engine power-determining element or of the actuating element in idle or near idle is undertaken in dependence upon the measurement signal of high resolution while, outside of the idle or near idle range, the control of the actuating element is undertaken in dependence upon measurement signals of low resolution or a straight open-loop control of the position of the actuating element.

    摘要: A method for sensing an air-fuel ratio of exhaust gasses from an engine of a vehicle using a sensor is provided. The method may comprise pumping a current in a pumping cell during; reducing said pumping during a set of operating conditions; and adjusting a fuel injection amount or an air amount into the engine to maintain a desired air-fuel ratio based on the sensor. In this way, a reference voltage can be driven by chemical reactions to equilibrate and provide an accurate indication of stoichiometry, similar to a HEGO sensor. Likewise, outside of stoichiometry, the reference voltage is controlled in a one-sided fashion via positive and negative pumping current at respective voltage limits to provide an indication of air-fuel ratio over a wide range.

Driving region judging means judges the driving region stored learning correction quantity in a memory map corresponding to the detected actual driving state with such a hysteresis that at least one of the driving region-defining lattice axes in the memory map is shifted by a predetermined value according to the direction of change of the parameter of the engine driving state, thereby when the engine is driven in the driving state near the boundary that is lattice axes, between adjacent driving regions having a large difference between respective learning correction quantities no hunting phenomenon of the control quantity in engine driving and stable control characteristics can be maintained.
