摘要: A linear actuation assembly comprising: (a) a differential assembly and (b) a pair of linear actuators in communication with the differential assembly; wherein the pair of linear actuators are movable along an axis so that during movement of each of the pair of linear actuators a pair of brake shoes are moved to create a brake force or moved to release a brake force, and wherein the differential assembly distributes power equally to each of the pair of linear actuators until resistance of one of the brake shoes increases then the differential assembly ceases to provide power to the brake shoe with increased resistance and distributes the power from the brake shoe with increased resistance to a brake shoe of lower resistance until a brake force is created.

摘要: A drum brake type electric parking brake apparatus includes an electric actuator unit configured to pull a cable so as to expand an expanding mechanism, a pulling pipe into which the cable is loosely inserted and supported so as to move in an axial direction, a feeding nut supported so as to move in only a rotation direction and provided with a female screw which is engaged with a male screw on the pulling pipe, and a connecting unit connecting a base end of the pulling pipe and a base end of the cable so as to pull the cable in a direction away from the expanding mechanism with the pulling pipe. The base end of the cable is projected from the base end of the pulling pipe which is an end opposite to the expanding mechanism.

摘要: A vehicle drum-in-hat disc brake assembly comprises: a shield adapted to be secured to an axle flange; a drum brake portion carried by the shield; an abutment tower operatively disposed with the drum brake portion; and a caliper bracket assembly formed separate from the abutment tower and adapted to be secured to the axle flange; wherein at least one first fastener is provided for securing the abutment tower to the caliper bracket assembly and a plurality of second fasteners are provided for securing the caliper bracket assembly and the shield to the axle flange.

The assembly also includes a wheel having a wheel web and radially inward-facing surfaces on opposite sides of the wheel web. Also included are at least two brake pads adjacent respective radially inward-facing surfaces of the wheel and a pendulum suspension arrangement connecting the at least two brake pads to the bogie. The assembly further includes an operating device configured to move the at least two brake pads via the pendulum suspension essentially radially against respective radially inward-facing surfaces of the wheel.

摘要: The invention relates to a friction brake (10) for a motor vehicle. The friction brake (10) for instance has a disk brake (12), which is actuatable by means of an actuating device, for instance in the form of a ball thread drive (22). The invention proposes embodying the friction brake (10) with a band brake (34), whose band (36) is mounted on the circumference of a nut (26) of the ball thread drive (22). If the brake band (36) is put under tensile stress in order to actuate the band brake (34), then the brake band (36) rotates the nut (26) of the ball thread drive (22) in a tensing direction and in this way actuates the disk brake (12). The invention has the advantage that the friction brake (10) has high brake boosting and therefore requires only little actuating energy. It is accordingly suitable for embodiment as an electromechanical friction brake (10) with an electric motor (56) for its actuation.

This annular channel serves to collect and drain water or water droplets entering into the brake disk, so that this liquid is drained over a gap between the outer friction ring and a shielding plate. Furthermore, the air guide channel is designed as a separate, water-draining channel in the brake disk.

摘要: A parking brake assembly includes a lever that translates pivoting rotation to sliding movement of a tappet in contact with a braking shoe to effect expansion of the brake shoe against the inside diameter of a rotating element. The rotating element is, in more specificity, a rotor carried by a spindle that is rotatably supported by bearings. The bearings are carried by the actuator housing which additionally carries the lever and tappet of the parking brake assembly.

摘要: The present invention comprises an integrated disc brake (50) and drum brake (120) construction. A support member (12) is supported by a vehicle axle (14) and extends radially outwardly to provide support for a housing (52) of the disc brake (50). The housing (52) is secured by bolts (93 or 94) to the support member (12), the housing (52) having through openings (54) for receiving rod members (75). The rod members (75) each have one end (76) secured to the support member (12) and a second part (90) and the other end has an opening (77) for an internal bore (78) extending therein. The disc brake (50) includes an axially movable yoke (60) attached to guide pins (82) extending into bores (78) of the rods (75) for slidable movement therein. The second part (90) extends radially to provide support for an inner brake pad (20) and may extend axially away from the housing (52) to provide an anchor support (91) for shoulders (132, 142) of drum brake shoes (130, 140). The support member (12) supports a mechanical actuator (121) which may be operated to bias the drum brake shoes (130, 140) into engagement with a drum portion (42) of the brake disc (40) in order to effect a parking brake operation.
