    摘要: An elliptically moving mechanism includes: a track disc formed with two tracks, the two tracks perpendicularly intersecting each other; a transmission ring rotatably fitted around a circumference of the track disc; a rocking arm positioned under the track disc; and two slide members disposed on a top face of the rocking arm. The rocking arm is connected to the two tracks via the two slide members. The two slide members are slidable along the two tracks respectively. When the transmission ring is rotated, the rocking arm is driven by the transmission ring to move in an elliptical path. The elliptically moving mechanism is easy to manufacture and assemble and has a small volume and is lightweight. Moreover, the mechanism provides different elliptical paths of different sizes.

    摘要: Indexing drives associated with a transmission each include a housing having a plurality of guideways, actuators slidably mounted in the guideways and a carrier with follower elements. The actuators include drive elements which can extend to the follower elements. The follower elements are movable across the drive elements and the drive elements are movable toward and away from the follower elements. The drive elements include convexities and the follower elements include concavities. The concavities are spaced from one another and the convexities are spaced from one another such that when one of the concavities is fully engaged with one of the convexities, two other of the concavities and two other of the convexities are sufficiently aligned to be partially engageable. The follower elements are severally arranged to provide cylindrical surfaces with concavities, circular surfaces with concavities and longitudinal surfaces with concavities. The transmission includes gears, clutches engageable with the transmission gears, clutch control elements extending to operatively engage the clutches and linkage engaged with the carrier of the indexing drive and the clutch control elements.

The casing (51) includes: a pair of side portions (61, 62) which are guided by the guiding means on both sides, in a tooth width direction, of the rail (40); a pair of end plate portions (63, 64) which are located on opposite sides, as viewed in a longitudinal direction of the rail (40), of the swinging plates (53) and connect opposite end portions of the pair of side plate portions (61, 62); and a coupling member (521) which is located between the plurality of crankshafts (54, 55) as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the rail and couple intermediate portions of the pair of side plate portions (61, 62). The coupling member (521) is preferably passed through the swinging plates (53). The linear motion apparatus is compact and low-cost, and capable of maintaining a stable state of meshing between swinging plates and a toothed rail even if a compact casing is adopted.
