    摘要: Indexing drives associated with a transmission each include a housing having a plurality of guideways, actuators slidably mounted in the guideways and a carrier with follower elements. The actuators include drive elements which can extend to the follower elements. The follower elements are movable across the drive elements and the drive elements are movable toward and away from the follower elements. The drive elements include convexities and the follower elements include concavities. The concavities are spaced from one another and the convexities are spaced from one another such that when one of the concavities is fully engaged with one of the convexities, two other of the concavities and two other of the convexities are sufficiently aligned to be partially engageable. The follower elements are severally arranged to provide cylindrical surfaces with concavities, circular surfaces with concavities and longitudinal surfaces with concavities. The transmission includes gears, clutches engageable with the transmission gears, clutch control elements extending to operatively engage the clutches and linkage engaged with the carrier of the indexing drive and the clutch control elements.

    摘要: A one-piece mounting bracket (30) for mounting an automatic transmission shift control in the cab of a truck has a top wall (34) and laterally spaced apart side walls (36, 38) depending from the top wall and extending rearward into covering relation to laterally opposite sides of the shift control. A face plate (70) spans the side walls of the bracket in covering relation to the shift control, and a shift lever (62) for operating the shift control to shift the transmission extends from the shift control through an opening (72) at the face plate to provide a grip by which a driver of the vehicle can operate the shift control. The side walls are symmetric about an imaginary medial plane that perpendicularly bisects an imaginary plane occupied by the top wall. The side walls also have symmetric hole patterns (50, 52) providing shift cable attachment features that are symmetric about the imaginary medial plane. The bracket may be used in either a right- or left-hand drive vehicle.

    摘要: A continuous variable transmission includes a pair of pulleys forming V-shaped grooves for receiving an endless transmission element for transmitting torque between the pulleys. Each pulley includes at least one axially movable sheave which may be urged axially in the direction of the transmission element by an urging element effecting a clamping force between the sheave and the transmission element, the effected clamping force corresponding to a force sufficient for transmitting a torque to be transmitted by at least virtually slipless friction between the pulley sheaves and the belt, increased by a safety margin expressed as a factor corresponding to a percentage of the torque to be transmitted throughout a major part of the range of torques transmittable to the relevant transmission.

    摘要: The present invention intends to provide a controlling device for transmission in which locking action of the locking mechanism is not hindered by a part of the controlling device such as an actuator, when a fork shaft as an operating mechanism is held at a neutral position. For such purpose, the controlling device for transmission includes plural fork shafts, a selecting member selectively engaging with one of the fork shafts, a selecting actuator for moving the selecting member to engage with the fork shaft, a shifting actuator for applying load to the fork shaft engaged by the selecting member, and locking mechanism for locking the fork shafts. In such controlling device, the selecting actuator is constructed to move the selecting member to a non-engaging position not engaging with any of the fork shafts.

    摘要: At the time of a gear stage change in a synchronous mesh automatic transmission, the transmission performs an automatic speed change with a speed change position control that utilizes a shift select actuator. The transmission is provided with a speed sensor for detecting rotational speeds of input and output shafts so as to detect the operating state of the synchronizer at the time of the gear stage change. A rotational synchronization starting shift position controlled by the shift actuator is detected and learned by a shift position sensor. The synchronization starting shift position is learned by the shift position sensor using a relationship of rotational speeds of the input and output shafts of the transmission under the shift control, and the shift position control is carried out, effecting improved durability of the synchronizer, and speedy shift control without gear noise.
