Abstract:
An organic light-emitting diode comprising an organic layer sequence, a radiation exit area and an encapsulation. The organic layer sequence comprises at least one radiation-emitting region which generates electromagnetic radiation in the spectral range from infrared radiation to UV radiation during operation. The radiation exit area is structured, so that the electromagnetic radiation has a directional emission profile. The encapsulation forms a seal of the organic layer sequence against environmental influences.

Abstract:
A luminous handle (10) for doors, furnishings, or public buildings such as airports, toilets, hospitals, etc., means of transport or the like, comprising a handgrip or knob (20) made of transparent or translucent material, sanded if necessary. A spindle (8) with a definite section is intended to be inserted in a lock (24), through the latch present in the lock while a fixing screw or spring ball (12) is suitable to be fixed on said spindle (8) passing through the latch of the lock. The spindle (8) has an axial through hole positioned inside which is an electric conductor (4) electrically insulated from said spindle (8) by an insulating sleeve (9). The handgrip or knob (20) contains a LED or a luminous source of any type supplied by said electric conductor (4). The LED and the circuit can be inserted in the handle (10). The handle 10 is in contact with the handgrip or knob (20) inside which a chamber can be produced to allow diffusion of the light. The LED or luminous source of any type can also be positioned inside the handgrip or knob (20). The power supply is preferably obtained by an induction system (26, 28).
Abstract:
A door, in particular for separating house rooms, equipped with a transparent portion (2) having a basically plate-like shape. A supporting cornice (5) is engaged to the transparent portion (2) and extends on the whole peripheral development of the transparent portion (2). Between said cornice (5) and the transparent portion (2) lighting means (9) are housed, for distributing a light ray inside said transparent portion (2).
Abstract:
Illumination device (20) for box-like or chest-like items of furniture having a body, which is provided with at least one door or flap, which can be pivoted between a closed position and an open position in relation to the body or a withdrawable part, for example a drawer or the like, which can be displaced between a closed position in which it is pushed into the body and an open position in which it is withdrawn from the body. The illumination device (20) has a holder, which can be connected to an electrical current source, for an illumination means (40), wherein a switch, which interrupts or opens the electrical connection in the event of a predetermined position of the door or flap or withdrawable part in relation to the body, is provided in the electrical connection between the current source and the illuminations means. The holder for the illumination means (40) has an adapter (32) having an adapter housing (34) which can be mounted in the body and in which a spring-prestressed pressure piece (36), which can be displaced between two separate positions and is in direct or indirect operative connection with the switch, is arranged. The adapter housing (34) is provided on one of the furniture fittings holding the door or flap or the withdrawable part movably on or in the body.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a lighting device that comprises at least one light emitting diode that is adapted for being electrically connected to a power source, and at least one sheet of fabric for covering the at least one light emitting diode. As such, light emitted from the at least one light emitting diode is able to shine through the at least one sheet of fabric.
Abstract:
An improved window covering and lighting system for a window in a room includes a plurality of cornices, each cornice including a window covering supported by the cornice and movable between an open position and a closed position, an actuator supported by the cornice for moving the window covering between the open position and the closed position, a lighting system mounted to the cornice, and a programmable logic unit for operating at least one of the actuator and the lighting system independently from one another upon demand. The system also includes a remote control unit providing a signal selectively to the programmable logic unit to operate at least one of the plurality of cornices. Each of the plurality of cornices further includes a light sensor for sensing ambient light conditions in the room, and a motion detector for detecting occupance of the room. The programmable logic control unit is responsive to the sensed ambient light conditions and the detected occupance.
