摘要： Embodiments can provide a visual indicator system, attachable to a medical imaging patient bed. The visual indicator system comprising: one or more light strips, each light strip comprising a plurality of lights; a distance meter, attachable to one end of the medical imaging patient bed; a storage device, configured to store one or more preconfigured finger gestures; and a microcontroller. The one or more light strips are attachable to the medical imaging patient bed; wherein the microcontroller is configured to illuminate the one or more light strips after the one or more preconfigured finger gestures are made with respect to the one or more light strips. A position of the illumination of the light strip corresponds to a position of performing the one or more preconfigured finger gestures and one or more distance measurements received from the distance meter.

摘要： A patient support apparatus, such as a hospital bed, includes an alert light assembly or an alert light module having separate zones that are individually illuminated to convey information regarding respective alert conditions. The zones each have indicia related to a particular condition of the patient support apparatus. The illuminated zones are each sufficiently large so as to be seen from afar, such as on the order of ten feet or more. Alternatively or additionally, a GUI of the patient support apparatus displays alert indicia as part of a screen saver. Further alternatively or additionally, the patient support apparatus illuminates an alert light in a manner indicating an optimal time for taking a patient's vital signs.

摘要： The present invention generally relates to an apparatus, such as a stretcher or gurney, which may be used to transport an injured person is a safe and efficient manner. The apparatus is especially suitable for safely transporting injured persons in, for example, dimly lit areas. More specifically, the apparatus has adjustable lights which may illuminate both a patient and the ground during movement of the apparatus. The lighting system also has a battery source which recharges when the apparatus is electrically connected to a docking station located within an ambulance, hospital or other suitable place. The apparatus may increase the effectiveness of medical treatment by allowing EMS specialists or paramedics or other persons to effectively and quickly provide medical care to an injured patient. Further, the apparatus allows the user to have two hands free to carry and/or control the stretcher, gurney or the like as a result of the user not having to carry a hand-held flashlight.
