Abstract: Multi-function lighting fixtures are provided. In one example implementation, a lighting fixture may include an optical housing extending lengthwise between a first end and a second end. The optical housing may include a plurality of light sources disposed within an interior of the optical housing and a plurality of optical elements disposed along an exterior of the optical housing. The optical housing may also a plurality of compartments defined within the interior of the optical housing. Each of the optical compartments may be associated with a separate light source of the plurality of light sources and a separate optical element of the plurality of optical elements.

Abstract: A ceiling mounted light fixture includes a lens assembly including a central lens and a pair of side lenses. The central lens extends along a longitudinal axis, and each side lens extends parallel to the central lens and is positioned on a lateral side of the central lens. The fixture further includes at least one central light emitter for emitting light directly through the central lens and a pair of side light emitters. At least one control component operatively connected to the central light emitter and the side light emitters is configured to operate in a first mode in which the central light emitter is deactivated and the side light emitters are activated, and a second mode in which the central light emitter and the side light emitters are activated.

Abstract: The apparatus is a modular medical lighting system which includes a ceiling-mounted reading light module, examination light module, ambient light module, and a night light module. The reading light is directed toward a selected reading area on a hospital bed directly below the medical lighting system. The examination light illuminates the entire top surface of the hospital bed. The ambient light directs light to a wall abutting the head of the hospital bed thereby providing reflected light to the vicinity of the hospital bed. The night light directs light to a selected side of the bed so as to light a nurse's medical chart clipboard without disturbing the patient. The modules may be provided separately or in combination.

Abstract: A lighting element is disclosed that provides a projection of light forming a substantially uniform bright light on a surface a known distance from the lighting element. The lighting elements includes a dome lens that is removably positioned on a light source, such that the light source is retained at a location within a focal length of a projection lens and at or within a focal length of the dome lens. The dome lens magnifies the light outputted by the light source, such that the projected light is brighter than the light generated by the light source.

Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling a light emitting diode (LED) system associated with an area and having a plurality of LED arrays are provided. In some implementations, the lighting system can include a first LED array associated with visible light and a second LED array associated with UV light. The lighting system can include one or more first sensors configured to detect occupancy within the area and send signals indicating whether the area is occupied. The lighting system can include one or more second sensors configured to detect microbes within an area and send signals indicating whether microbes are present in the area. The lighting system can include a control circuit configured to receive the signals sent by the one or more first and second sensors and to control the first LED array and the second LED array based on the signals.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a light fixture. The light fixture includes at least one first light source that emits at a peak wavelength in a range of approximately 380 nm to approximately 420 nm and at least one second light source that emits at a different peak wavelength, wherein a combined light output of the at least one first light source and the at least one second light source emits a colored light that is perceived as white light. The white light is defined by having a color rendering index (CRI) value of more than approximately 50. The at least one second light source that emits at a different peak wavelength consists of an xy coordinate on a International Commission on Illumination (CIE) 1931 xy color space diagram above a black body curve within a bounded area defined by a first line of approximately y=2.23989x−0.382773 and a second line of approximately y=1.1551x−0.195082. The combined light output has a proportion of spectral energy measured in the approximately 380 nm to approximately 420 nm range of greater than approximately 20%.
