摘要: A modular solar collector unit is arranged for symmetrical connection to other similar collectors to form a solar energy collection system. The individual units are arranged to be interlocked without special tools and without special know-how on the part of the person constructing the system. The units are adapted so that the heated air passes entirely internal to each solar collector unit through mating ports from one unit directly to the next unit.

摘要: A hemispheric moving focus power plant (10) has a hemispheric solar reflector (12) for reflecting solar energy. A receiver (14) for receiving reflected solar energy and producing power therefrom is movably connected to the hemispheric solar reflector (12). The receiver (14) includes a frame with a top (24), to which a plurality of photovoltaic cells are connected, and a support (26). Further, a power conditioner (16) is connected to the receiver (14) for receiving power from the receiver (14) and conditioning the power for use.

摘要: The invention concerns a cylindro-parabolic reflector for focusing solar rays on the focal axis of the cylinder.The reflector comprises modular elements which are assembled by means of tubes which are interengaged strictly in alignment with each other. The complementary male and female ends of the tubes have been formed by the tubes previously having been forcibly engaged into each other. This makes it possible to provide reflectors of substantially perfect parabolic shape, in spite of their substantial length.The invention will be used primarily in the construction of solar steam generating stations.

摘要: A solar energy collecting panel for heating by solar radiation a liquid culating in a section of piping and constituted by a flat rectangular box thermally closed by a cover transparent to solar radiation and containing the said section of piping. The said box is constituted by a stamped metal sheet whose surface is less than 1 m squared and also contains a stamped copper tray in intimate contact with the piping section, the said tray supporting by itself the transparent cover and being thermally spaced from the box, the insulating pad being constituted by a in situ moulded block of rigid foam. Such a panel is intended to be used for feeding a central heating system and/or a hot water distribution system, especially for household purposes or swimming pools.

摘要: Disclosed is a solar heater adapted to be made in modular units and used as such or alone, each unit comprising a container, generally triangular in cross section, made up of equal dimensional reflective (two in number) and transparent (one in number) sidewalls, plus two equal dimensional reflective end members of like cross section. Disposed in the container is a conduit and an enlargement of same, the geometric center of said enlargement being coincident with the geometric center of the container. The enlargement is spaced apart from the two reflective and the transparent sidewalls and as a result of the shape of the container and disposition of the enlargement in it, the enlargement is heated by solar rays from its top and its underside, thereby giving rise to a solar heater of significant efficiency.

摘要: There is described an improved, modular, solar energy converting unit which operates as a solar heater. The modular heater incorporates upper and lower surfaces and a prescribed chamber therebetween. The chamber is defined by a plurality of walls or baffles which are substantially parallel and, alternately, extend from opposite sides of the modular unit. In addition, a sinuous, continuous rib member is arranged intermediate adjacent areas of said baffles while providing an interconnection which is spaced from the free end of alternate ones of the baffles. Each of the side walls includes portions which may be selectively interconnected with other portions of adjacent modules. In addition, each of the side walls includes means for aligning and interlocking adjacent modules. Additional support members are provided, to the extent necessary, wherein the module is capable of supporting substantial weights and may be used as a surface decking or the like.

摘要: This modular element has several conduits disposed side by side, each pair of adjacent conduits being interconnected to form a rigid or flexible unit, each conduit has a male end and an opposite female end, the latter for joining with the male end of an aligned conduit of an adjacent modular element. The several conduits of a first modular element can therefore be simultaneously extended by the several conduits of a second modular element by simultaneously joining the female and male ends of the elements. These elements can be in the form of panels to be joined together to form, for instance, a solar panel or a floor covering with a circulating heat transfer fluid through the conduits. The conduits may also serve as protected passages for underground electrical wires. The conduits may be provided with sprinkler holes to water plants. The panels preferably have interlocking means on their sides which are parallel to the conduits for interlocking adjacent panels and these sides may be provided with fastening zones to fasten the panels to an underlying surface. The panels can be fitted with a transparent cover enclosing an air chamber allowing sun rays therethrough but preventing heat escape when used as solar panels.
