摘要: A cooling subsystem of a fuel cell assembly that employs the Rankine cycle to use the potential energy of a thermally pressurized fluid to generate electrical power. Waste heat from a fuel cell stack is transferred to working fluid in a heat exchanger. The working fluid in the condensed phase is pressurized, evaporated in a boiler or evaporator, and then fed to an expansion turbine which in turn provides rotary motion to an electric generator to generate useful electrical power. The fluid leaves the turbine as a lower pressured vapor, and is then condensed back to a fluid and pumped back to the evaporator to repeat the process.

摘要: A modified two-phase refrigeration cycle compresses a working fluid, condenses the working fluid into a saturated or supercooled liquid, expands the saturated or supercooled liquid into a two-phase fluid, and evaporates the two-phase working fluid. The modified two-phase refrigeration cycle reduces irreversibilities imposed by conventional refrigeration cycles and extracts energy from the working fluid during the expansion process. For instance, a system that employs the modified two-phase refrigeration cycle includes a two-phase expander to reduce irreversibilities during an expansion process and extract energy. In some instances, the system includes a two-phase compressor to compress two-phase fluids for varying loads and environmental conditions of the system.

摘要: The present application relates to a heat recovery apparatus and method. According to the heat recovery apparatus and method, low-level heat sources at a temperature less than 100° C. discharged from industrial settings or various chemical processes, for example, a petrochemicals manufacturing process are not wasted but used to generate steam and the generated steam is used for various processes to reduce an amount of consumed high-temperature steam that is an external heat source to be used for a reactor or distillation column, thereby not only maximizing energy reduction efficiency but also autonomously producing power consumed by a compressor. Also, an evaporation phenomenon of a part of a refrigerant flow which passes through the compressor may be reduced, thereby recovering heat with excellent efficiency.

摘要: An air-cooling device comprises compressor (1). Double cavity heat exchanger (2), turbo expander (6) and the freezing chamber (3) containing fan (5) and air cooler (4). Fan (7) is mounted on the same shaft with the turbo expander (6). The first cavities of the heat exchangers (9 and 2), moist separator (8) and the second cavity of the heat exchanger (2) are connected with the compressor (1) input in sequence. In the other appearance the device comprises compressor (44) and turbo expander (49), double cavity heat exchanger (45), freezing chamber (46) containing fan (48) and air cooler (47), double cavity vaporization heat exchanger (51) and moist separator (50). The first cavities of the vaporization heat exchangers (51 and 45), moist separator (50, turbo expander (49), air cooler (47) and the second cavity of the heat exchanger (45) are in sequence connected with the compressor input (44). The bearing disk (67) of the turbine wheel (66) is constructed with inter blade canals (69) conjugates by means of the flutes (70) with the meridional disk surface (67). The canal surface (69) contain longitudinal micro canal (71). The radius of the micro canal (71) cross cut IS 0.1-1.0 of the radius (Rf) of the flute (70), the pitch (t) between the micro canals (71) is not more than the double radius (Rk) and the height (h) of the micro canal (710 is about 0.2-1.0 of the radius (Rk).

摘要: A refrigeration unit with dynamic air cooling is described. It includes a centrifugal compressor with an electric drive, whose outlet is connected to a working element, whose outlet is connected to the inlet of a turbine. The turbine is connected to an electrical energy generator, where the outlet of the turbine is directed towards a wall-pipe heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is connected to a pump. Between the centrifugal compressor and the working element there is a pipe-wall exchanger of the air-air type, to which a fan is connected. The working element of the unit has a cylindrical hollow profile comprising helical recesses with a substantially oval shape.
