    摘要： An apparatus to introduce a defined amount of a second powder into a process container in which a first powder or a powder mixture is present, includes a coupling flange having a cover flap located on the process container. The second powder is introduced into a tubular cartridge mounted displaceably in a transport unit, the latter including a joining flange having a cover flap. The joining flange is joinable to the coupling flange so that the respective cover flaps can be opened, and the cartridge can be pushed through openings thereby provided into the plane of the inner wall of the process container. The second powder is emptied from the cartridge into the process container by a delivery piston. The cartridge may include a piston rod having multiple pistons. Other embodiments include a double piston, a rotatable cartridge core or a rotary closure.

    摘要： A powder dispensing container is provided, the container divided into a powder storage chamber and a powder dispensing chamber with an opening between the two controlled by a valve mechanism. A cap or closure member is disposed over an upper open end of a powder dispensing chamber and when opened, causes a closure of the valve mechanism. When the cover is returned to its closed position, the valve will automatically open allowing for new charge of powder form the storage chamber to enter into the dispensing chamber. The closure member is provided with an actuator that extends through the powder dispensing chamber and engages and causes operation of the valve mechanism.

The transfer mechanism includes a rotary auger and a pick-up wheel disposed within the bin and operatively connected to a manual crank on the front of the bin. The auger feeds the coffee to the pick-up wheel, which deposits the coffee into a graduated chute from which the user may dispense the coffee to a suitable container.

    摘要： An apparatus for measuring and dispensing a predetermined quantity of particulate material from a container. The apparatus includes a measuring and dispensing assembly permanently secured at least in part within a container, particularly a disposable container such as a box of dry laundry detergent. The measuring and dispensing assembly defines a chamber within the container which may be opened to permit a predetermined measured quantity of the contents of the container to enter thereinto, and then closed to separate the measured quantity from the remaining contents of the container. To permit dispensing of the measured quantity of particulate material from the closed chamber, the assembly further includes a movable member which may be moved to expose a discharge opening in the container which is adjacent the chamber.
