摘要: In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, a data acquisition and control system includes a sample manifold for collecting air samples. The manifold may include twenty-eight discrete sorbent tubes. Each sorbent tube may be sealed within the manifold and the manifold may be removed from the system for sorbent tube analysis. A second manifold may be connected to the system for continued air sampling collection. The system may autonomously collect multiple samples at scheduled or triggered events. The system may also communicate with other systems to form a multi-system monitoring network. The system may also interface and operate with a multitude of sensors and monitors of different types.

摘要: A system and method periodically sample a fluid stream in a conduit for undergoing analysis thereof. A sampling tube having a probe is joined to the conduit for removing samples from the stream flowing therethrough. An analyzer is joined to the sampling tube for analyzing the removed samples. A solenoid valve is disposed in the tube for controlling flow of the samples to the analyzer. A dynamic pressure transducer is joined to the conduit so that a specific dynamic pressure reference frequency of the stream in the conduit may be locked-on to and used for periodically switching the solenoid valve open and closed for intermittently removing stream samples from the conduit at the reference frequency for channeling to the analyzer periodic stream samples at a sampling frequency corresponding to the reference frequency. In a preferred embodiment, the solenoid valve is switched open at a specific sampling phase in the sampling frequency, which phase may be indexed for obtaining different periodic samples at the sampling frequency for measuring periodic and short duration concentration fluctuations.

The present invention may include, responsive to one or more sample collection criteria being met, collecting an aerosol sample in at least one of one or more collection media including at least one liquid collection medium, wherein collecting the aerosol sample comprises propelling air, via an air pump, through a collection medium of the one or more collection media for a duration equal to a sample integration time; responsive to detecting that a sampler liquid level in at least one liquid collection medium is below a threshold, raising the sampler liquid level in the at least one liquid collection medium to meet the threshold; and transmitting a message alerting one or more users that the aerosol sample has been collected.
